Teach them when they are young, and they learn to manage money well.

Bravo for airing this. I always figured that they were passing down traditions on dealing with money and I think it’s a great thing. I never understood what problem people had with it. My husband taught my son at an early age to save his money and I grew to appreciate it, cuz you know, I liked spending it💵💵❗️✌🏽

Financial education at a young age is the best gift.

Read rabbi Daniel Lapin's book "Thou Shall Prosper" It has great principles that have created Jews the wealth they have built. They definitely do not take the victim stance.

My family didn't talk to me about any of this when I was growing up. I rarely ever got money as a gift and never an allowance. It is so important to understand these principles while you are forming habits at a young age.

Bravo, that's how it should be! 👏
My parents did not teach me anything about money so I had to figure it all out by myself which of course took longer. Had my parents taught me this as a child, I would have started investing in stocks way earlier and would have gained a lot of time in the market which is key for the compound interest effect. When I have kids, I will set up ETF savings plans for them starting the day they are born.

I overhear conversations all the time about certain people teaching their “children financial literacy” you have to teach them how to manage money and be responsible while they’re younger I was never taught this in my household same with millions of other people of my ethnicity that’s why we are at the bottom of the financial spectrum

Jewish people kind of completely blow out of the water the notion that oppression causes poorness. It’s about how we teach our children not about what happened to their grandparents that tells us where they’re going

I'd only the rest of us would just listen.

One third to charity? That's hard to believe.

As a working class woman, I have enough to live a middle class life. I am not as greedy

Yes one part is for the charity to me, one part is for me to spend and one part is for me to save for later. That’s Jewish philosophy. He don’t spend on anyone not his own kids.

Do you teach the children that when they die they don’t take that money with them and that instead they leave it behind to someone to spend it on drugs and parties??
