Most Underrated Watches: Zenith, Omega, Grand Seiko, and more !

There are loads of watches and watch brands that don't seem to get the recognition they deserve within the watch community, spanning various categories. This is my first video diving into underrated watches, and I've kept it pretty broad by choosing watches that I genuinely believe are underrated. Depending on the feedback I receive, I might create more videos like this in the future. So, please feel free to drop a brand, category, or price point in the comments section for potential inclusion in future videos.

Here are the prices for every watch mentioned in the video. I've kept them all at their retail prices for simplicity. I had originally intended to include text with the prices in the video, but I forgot.

00:00 Intro
00:43 Grand Seiko Quartz $3,800
01:50 OMEGA Railmaster $5,400 -$5,700
02:54 Ball $3,500 and under
04:02 Cartier Tank MUST XL $4,900
04:55 Zenith Chronomaster Sport $ 11,000
06:15 ORIS $2,250-$4,900
07:30 Longines Spirit Zulu Time $ 3,200
08:14 Final Thoughts

Hi Everyone,

I'm in the process of experimenting with different content formats, so please bear with me as I understand this video is far from flawless. If you enjoy these types of videos, please leave a comment to let me know. Creating elaborate reviews for you is something I truly enjoy, but sometimes, they can take up to two weeks to produce. Incorporating videos like this into the collection ensures I can deliver more content at a faster pace.

Also, I'd like to mention that I completely forgot to include the retail prices in the video. My original intention was to incorporate them as text overlays, but unfortunately, I overlooked that. I do apologize 🙏 I did create characters and added all the retail prices for each watch in the description box.

Thanks for watching,
Elle ☺️

I think my Longines Hydroconquest is the best from the brand. It has increased a lot in price recently but looks, wears and feels amazing.

Elizabeth, great video. I definitely agree that Omega is underrated. Zenith is also underrated and I love the reach history of the brand. You just don’t see collectors and enthusiasts talk about Zenith.

Biggest issue with Ball & tritium is the half-life of tritium is 12.33 years so after about 36 years the lume will be very dim but the watch could easy still be in excellent condition, no option to paint new BGW9. Second point is that of course Seiko made the first auto chrono - as in first to market. Zenith were first to demo one - a single prototype which no-one could buy. Heuer/Hamilton/Buren were first at something I don't recall. So there 😀

Hey cool ! You still have the Rail Master ! Seems a nice fit with the boots and jeans style . I'm relieved . I think Guinand is maybe not talked about enough . They give me a sense of being above the competition in solid watch making passion in the price range . Yeah, love 'em and also Muhle Glashuette .

"Grand Seiko already has a bit of a cult following - Grand Seiko is better than Rolex" - that killed me! 😀

Great selection of underrated watches. I actually sort-of own 3 of them. I have a Zenith Chronomaster and it is my everyday watch. Insanely accurate (< 1 sec/day) My prior everyday watch was a Longines Hydroconquest, but I've been lusting after that Spirit Zulu Time. I might get one if I start travelling internationally again. I love the Railmaster. I don't own one, but I do have an homage (which I use as my cheap travel watch) and would like to get a real one someday. I like the others on your list as well, except for the Cartier tank, but only because it just isn't my style.

The Zenith Chronomaster Sport is amazing, especially in the boutique edition version, with the silver dial and the tricolor ceramic bezel. I'd have that 100times before any Daytona even if I could just pick either for free.

First, glad to have you back making content. Second, love the idea as I know very little about Ball and appreciate the introduction.

You pretty much nailed a good portion of my wish list here. Quartz GS, Chronomaster, blue and gold Aquis. I'm wearing a green/gold Zulu Time now. So that's one checked off. What to get next?

Hi Elizabeth, great video. FWIW, I enjoy this type of video as much as an in-depth review; it gives me a better view of more watches in the same amount of time. I also don't feel that not having retail pricing is that big of a deal, with everything fluctuating as much as it seems to currently. Please keep 'em coming!
