Jamie's pronunciation of gochujang is right on the money! I'm impressed!

"...you can use it in marinades, soups and stews.."
But why does spaff have it?
"...you don't even need to cook it."
There it is!

Also, it lasts forever in the fridge. I bought a big tub since it was cheaper per the amount like two years ago and have been working my way through it and its still good.

- egg noodles or thick rice noodles
- garlic, ground pork
- and a mix of gochujang, oyster sauce, soy sauce, little bit of sugar and a splash of rice vinegar
- spring onions as garnish

Makes for a banger midweek dinner or quick lunch

If you want the umami without the heat (because you're a bit sensitive to spice, like myself) try Ssamjang instead.

Recently began using Gochujang quite a lot, and is definitely something I always keep around now!

Gochujang is the bomb! Get some ssamjang too while you're at it, the more subtle, non-spicy sibling.

I got it for a recipe on the sidekick app and now I need to always have it in my fridge. I’m always looking for new dishes to add it to!

I would say the Asian basics that can be used for lots of things would be:
Soy sauce
Miso paste
Gochujang
Chilli oil
Fish sauce
Sesame oil

Have been using gochujang for a while and also am using Gochugaru. Korean red pepper flakes that add a little heat and earthiness. I use it instead of Paprika. get it at Asian markets.

one of my staples in the kitchen!! some of my favorite ways to use it:
-on buttered toast before adding beans
-in a cheese toastie, bonus if you add kimchi too
- bibimbap!!
- on any grilled meat
- in my sweet and spicy wing sauce
- mixed with kewpie mayo as a sauce for any wrap or sandwich
- mixed with rice, sesame oil, canned tuna, kewpie mayo, and gim (toasted seaweed snack) and shaped into riceballs
- as a replacement for tomato paste when I want an extra kick

That is quite honestly mind blowing. I tried using gochujang by itself and it didn’t work for me but with mayo its sooo good!

My buddy showed me this and it was an eye opener for sure! Never want to be without it now

Always have a tub in the house. Even add it to eggs when omelettes

Addicted to the stuff. Always have it in the fridge. Especially good stirred into a bolognaise/chilli style sauce or added to rice dishes.

Yes, this is the kind short to do, laid back and explaing something uncommon in a kitchen. While sounding like you have alot of experience.

Just add background theme cause the silence is eerie
