Pork floss is massively underrated. It's feels as indulgent as scratchings without the broken teeth

I recommend putting it in congee and other Chinese porridge. Sprinkle it on bread too.

They are delicious!

A bit more of a description of what it is and how to use it would have been nice.

My local Chinese bakery has “dry bbq pork buns”, which are my fave. They are basically just like steamed or baked char siu bao, but instead of char siu (bbq pork), it is pork floss mixed with a bit of char siu bbq sauce. Being as bao often have almost inedible bits of gristly pork, the pork floss seriously upgrades the texture, making it a safer bet when you aren’t at a top-notch teahouse.

You guys should put the original video in the description or comments. Since I know want to watch it again and it would be faster than looking it up and it would probably bring in more views

I also love the slower pace in the episodes!

Sprinkle heaps of it on top of a bowl of warm rice. You can thank me later.

We have something similar in the use, but I've never seen it used in anything but as a solo snack. Beef jerky chew. It's ground up jerky, similar to old candy cigarettes, it's a snack for kids meant to look like adults tobacco products. It's sold in a plastic tin just like chewing tobacco.

I love to put it in congee, with a bit of preserved vegetable as well. Simple, delicious and comforting.

The one I love very much is the pork floss bun. Consists of a topping of pork floss and mayonnaise, it gives a mixture of sweetness (coming from mayo) and savoriness (pork floss) 😋😋👍🏻👍🏻

I used to eat this a ton as a kid, straight out of the bag/jar. It's good as a rice ball filling as well.

Used to keep a couple of bags of this stashed away in my rucksack on expedition. Light to carry & adds flavour to climbing meals. But also just great to snack on & adds a bit of a protein hit.

You need to try this in congee! I also used to eat this as a sandwich as a child, butter two slices of bread and add a thick layer of pork floss. So good.

Had pork floss for the first time at a high-end Toronto restaurant with a good friend. Because of the 'event', ordering it again wasn't really an option, but we got another set of dishes anyways because we were the last sitting...and enjoyed it in the bar seating overlooking the south skyline to the lake. Did my best to recreate the floss (in varying ways) for a Christmas gift, and the dish itself for her birthday (which ended up being something like 10 courses over 6 hours...). Albacore Tuna sashimi with black garlic and topped with pork floss...

Fun fact in Singapore there's a pork floss bread, literally a bread with pork floss on top of it

Is it like crushed pork scratchings with seasoning?

I know, my niece won't eat her rice without pork floss.
The kind with Nori is THE BEST.
