In this video, we will compare the two most used tools by UI designers to create user interfaces: Sketch and Figma. We are going to compare everything from pricing all the way up to plugins and even cover which one I believe is the most user-friendly in my personal opinion. To be honest_Sketch is a better design Applications: but Figma is also good at collaborations: I use both_

I use Figma professionally and the claims about Sketch vs Figma pricing are wrong — prototypes and dev handover are both viewable in any browser via Sketch Cloud, like Figma — Sketch is cheaper, increasingly so as you move up Figma's pricing table. Everyone loves to say "Figma's free" but professional users can't really get far with on that plan (schools/students can get Sketch free too.)

The apps are closer than people think, inc multi-player (though Sketch took a long time to catch up). Sketch also has versioning — branching would've been a better argument; advanced users might want Sketch + Abstract vs Figma (Business plan's) Branching feature. Likewise you might pay for Zeplin dev hand over and code/Storybook lining, as we do instead of Figma's inspect.

…but Figma have a LOT more funding, a lot more developers, so it IS pretty hard to see how Sketch can keep up head to head on features. At the same time, Figma's plugin performance is WAY behind Sketch and there IS something to be said for the Sketch UI being more polished and comfortable for Mac-based designers.
