Perhaps you might be able to see something by picking a random 2 explanatory variable along with your dependent variable, but it is just as likely that you won't be able to clearly see a relationship. But, what I was doing here was just an exercise is visualizing (looking at) data, so there really isn't any technical or scientific point in doing so, except for fun, or perhaps as part of exploratory data analysis to get a feel for what might be going on.

If there was another variable, so 3 independent variables, would that add another axis to the example? Would that still be a plane?

How do you find the y intercept, assuming you have no data on how much orange juice people will buy if it costs 0$, and vodka costs 0$?
