Announcement of a major "financial restructuring" of Ubisoft will be announced this week or at the latest next week. Probably after the close of the US markets this Friday or next. The family will no longer have a controlling interest in the company.

Considering what they did with D2(don't listen to the community/nit learning from d1/f**k up the pvpers/incursion/mods/etc) maybe fresh air is needed.

now this whole thing COULD be really really good for the division and other franchises. tencent isn’t bad at game dev. they have made pretty decent games.

Tencent will end up controlling Ubisoft and most of Ubisoft's upper management will be gone. The bump in stock price is temporary, but completely expected. It happens any time there are strong rumors of a buyout. Currently Tencent owns 10% and the family only owns 20%. It will be relatively easy for Tencent to gain a controlling interest or at least form a group that controls more than the family.

I wish people would stop with this delusional idea that the Div3 should be a thing...Div2 devs can't even get the Div2 right...seriously 6+ years and all we've gotten was Warlords of New York...game modes DO NOT COUNT BTW.
