I still think the division 2 is a respectable game when everything works as planned but with massive being transparent and admitting to hire new staff and devs it makes sense to start with a clean slate rather than work on a game that was developed by a completely different team with a completely different method to coding and breaking stuff when said code gets edited.

I LOVED the division 1 and just hearing that they have actually been working on 3 even though we were led to believe it is not for such a long time makes me so happy man. I dont even mind if it takes 2 or 3 more years to come out im just happy its coming at all!

Updates to division 2, avatar game that’s been in development for over 5 years, Star Wars game to come after that…..we ain’t seeing a Massive developed Division 3 for a time….if ever.

It shouldn’t be shocking to anyone that they’re making a Division 3. Massive started working on the division 2 literally 1 week after the launch of the division 1. I’m pretty sure year 5 is going to be the Division 2’s last hurrah.

This is why the devs had extended/stalled Season 10 and gave a weak road map for 2023. Division 1 came out in 2016 and Division 2 in 2019. It's been time for Division 3 going by the previous two release dates. IMHO when devs stall a current game they aren't really interested in taking a current game any further because they are working on another game or working on the next game with this franchise going forward.

Since Resurgence came out I kept saying is that it will be used for Div 3 build up in terms of feedback and other mechanics. But time will tell.

From the get go you could tell the the development team were frustrated at not being able to achieve what they initially set out to achieve with the first game, due to the hardware limitations of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox one consoles.
I'd look forward to a dark and gritty world set in the style of The Division.
They could do soo much with the division its unreal.
I'd love to see a DZ for example with dynamic weather where you're forced underground or indoors due to a blizzard.
They could utilise The unreal 5 engine, making it atmospheric and dynamic.
They could improve enemy AI, there's loads that they could do.

I mean given the successful of the division franchise, like you said, resurgence and heartland are blueprints. They’re both F2P I believe. Division 3 is gonna be that next BIG game. No 3rd person shooter will be able to compare. The talents, the weapons, the gear, new exotics, new missions, storyline, possibly even our protagonist having voice lines will be there. And I’m excited. As someone who’s over SHD 5K and starting over on my PS5, I truly am excited.

B I think you’re right. Remember back in 2014-15 when we got a Division 1 preview? One exciting feature was to be able to use your personal cell phone to operate the flying drone if I’m remember right. Well that feature was cut out lol but now with Resurgence, new gen tech, and 5-8yrs of tweaking that feature it might be a possibility on D3. That would be a deal breaker for so many. It’ll be like Nintendo Wii features which is a genre within itself. The Division has one unique feature which is the Dark Zone maybe it’s trying to have two.

Something I’m concerned about with Ubisoft and div 3 is the performance of it on console next gen specifically. I want the game to look amazing but not be limited to 30fps
