Let's grab a quick recap of all the latest ups and downs from the Tom Clancy Division Universe.
The Division Resurgence free-to-play Mobile Game has announced another large playtest, and The Division Heartland continues to look towards a 2024 release, after Ubisoft delayed this Survival, Action Shooter. The Original Division Game from 2016 is still active, with Global Event Strike set to launch soon. The Division Dark Zone is still as incredible as ever, and Legendary Missions are still available for matchmaking. The Division 2 Year 5 Season 2 is right around the corner, and Puppeteers will be adding The Incursion Game Mode into the mix. Countdown continues to be the mode of choice, while The Summit and Descent have been largely forgotten. A new, Division Novel: Hunted is available for pre-order, and what ever happened to the Netflix Division Movie?
And finally, we have to talk about the MASSIVE announcement that Tom Clancy's The Division 3 is now in the works!

Tom Clancy's The Division 2 is a shooter RPG with campaign, co-op, and PvP modes that offers more variety in missions and challenges, new progression systems with unique twists and surprises, and fresh innovations that offer new ways to play.

When you're battling everything from warring factions to contamination zones and the elements, you need to make sure you're well prepared. The Division 2 offers fully customizable agents and gear. First off, I just wanted to say thank you to MarcoStyle, NothingButSkillz, RogueGold, and of course yourself...LtBuzzLitebeer for continually producing Division content. As a day 1 player in 2016, I cant tell you how many times I thought about leaving this franchise only for you guys to keep me motivated and continuing the fight. Thank you!!! In terms of a prequel, this has always been my thought with Division 3. Allows us to go back to NYC, back to the snow, back to the characters who we all love and love to hate and get some backstory as to what led to their ultimate decisions to stay good or turn bad, while also getting some new faces to love. But, the biggest reason for the change, is to create an atmosphere of loneliness and being an island of yourself while being a part of the first wave. I've read a lot of books regarding first waves in WW2, Vietnam and Afghanistan and always remember how difficult it was and the sense of everything around you is against you. This should give us a reason to call on for support from other agents as this big city is too large to handle by yourself. I want a game that forces us to matchmake every time in order to advance in the storyline. Anyways, thank you so much!!!

Genuinely love the idea of a prequel an like you said being part of the first wave, this would be a fresh an exciting story an not the whole same shit different day scenario which made Div 2 see alot of us not playing anymore.
I've come back here an there but nothing has gripped me an pulled me bk to stay.
Survival is an absolute must have for Division 3 we all have been asking since the 1st expansion to Div 2 but never got it so that alone would bring in lots of us back to stay, especially if it's multiplayer again.
I'm hesitant but excited at the same time with the announcement of Div 3 and truly hope they watch this channel an make notes as feel you definitely capture the essence of us Day 1 Agents and what we came to an still love about the franchise.

We all asked, begged, and dreamed of survival for Div 2 since before launch. Div 2 would have made millions more with survival mode alone.

Bullet sponginess can be fun when implemented correctly. People with tank tops shouldn't be tanking 2 magazines. Maybe throw some heavy armor on them to make it a little bit more believable. I do enjoy it sometimes because it turns the game into survival horror for a minute when you're ducked behind cover trying to avoid this unstoppable creature you almost cant kill, except its not a monster in resident evil but an enemy in a game like this. Then again, when everyone in their t-shirt is taking a ton of rounds to the face and surviving, it kills the experience.

For Division 3 I would like to see 1) Changing weather seasons 2) Raid size content but for a squad of 4 and for future DLC content a BoO with Underground in a city in another country e.g. London Underground, Survival in an abandoned town in either Alaska or Siberia.

Man mad respect for your franchise coverage Lt. Watching the imagery I just much prefer and miss TD1. I'd love to see a 3 closer to first wave, I don't like the Black Tusk and way the story is currently so centred around them. Hell, give me TD1 at 1:1 scale, expanded, TD2'S QoL, activities and control points and I'm set.

I think Heartland was supposed to be the successor of Survival which may explain the devs vehement refusal to mention it in TD2. Sadly I have real doubts this game will ever drop.

I AGREE! It would be nice to have the TD3 be a prequel. Get to see Manhattan break down, watch as NYC collapses. Then have the ability to go to other cities, in an attempt to check the spread of the dollar-flu; cities such as Philly, Cincy, Baltimore, Manassas(VA)

I love The Division. Having recently replayed the original, which I enjoy more, my hope is that The Division 3 leans more in this direction. Don't go open world. Combine the best elements of both games, integrating some of the DLC (e.g., survivor) and evolve everything. No microtransactions. Strong narrative.

Side note about The Division Movie. From what I could find, the producers supposedly walked off the project due to the similarities the ongoing COVID pandemic had at that time and they "might" return at a later date.

It's funny your convo about BADGER... I'm a huge shotgun guy, snipers and shotties mostly.. Badger Bag w/ Bloodsucker is never a bad idea, which also allows for armor benefits of other shotguns besides "The Mop". Two pieces . Since YOU said that you NEED bonus armor for shotguns I wanted to chime in with other options .. I run a build I call THE BELSTONE BADGER (BELSTONE chest w/Gunslinger & Badger Bag w/ Companion. Then just fill the rest with whatever. Works great for me.
