Science and Metaphysics with Bernardo Kastrup

Here he points out the many irrational conundrum pits into which defenders of scientific materialism dig themselves. He points out that mainstream theoretical physics has almost completely eliminated the notion of matter – preferring other abstractions such as information or mathematics that are divorced from actual experience. He argues that our conventional notion time is an illusion. Therefore, causality itself is also an illusion. He suggests that the universe operates on a structured web of interrelated meanings and that Jungian synchronicity could replace our notion of causality.

New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in "parapsychology" ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980). He is the Grand Prize winner of the Bigelow Institute essay competition on the postmortem survival of human consciousness.

I would very much love for you to have Bernardo on as a regular guest. His logic is like a diamond surrounded by academic coal. Just brilliant!

The way Bernardo wrapped up with his ethical philosophy on warfare and murder was excellent. The man is always consistent in his approach.

Dr. Kastrup is absolutely one of my favorite guests. I write and I also create poetry, when he guests on the show, I always get a charge for my creative process, regarding the knowledge imparted. It would be difficult to hang with this guy intellectually and Jeffrey does a fantastic job.

Kastrup is one the best guests I’ve seen on the channel in a while! Following the conversation was like a really energizing workout routine. I’m going to have to listen to the other interview(s?) now.

Bernardo and Jeffrey, thank you very much for your invaluable contributions to human thinking. I celebrate the friendship between you. Bernardo, you, standing on the shoulders of the Giants of the past (? 😊), like we all do, you are the clearest and most logic thinker of all people I follow. Some of them I regard equal. I bath in the rich realm of your thoughts. Sadly, the rest of the world is wandering around in ignorance or towards dead end avenues.
May you enlighten many more seekers.
Again, thank you both.!

I’ve seen many BK conversations; this one was the best, most inspiring, even most thrilling one from my perspective. I feel blessed to have been following BK for several years now.

I'd be interested to know if Dr. Bernado has any thoughts on Rupert Sheldrake’s theory of Morphic Resonance. Perhaps a future discussion with him on this channel might include this topic?

I like the work of Nassim Haramein when it comes to unifying General Relativity, the Quantum world and Black Holes. I may not due his theory justice, but Nassim's theory states fundamental particles are essentially black holes, or singularities.

I wish there were some way to get Theology into the conversation. Meaning, I wish Bernardo could influence the thinking of theologians.

Bernardo and Tom Campbell recently had an interesting conversation. I think Tom could be an interesting guest as well. All very thoughtful and forward thinking!

16:52 To be clear, Sabine would strongly disagree with Kastrup’s metaphysics. A debate between them would truly be a clash of intellectual giants.

One of my favourite recurrent guests of this program, Bernardo also has an excellent Youtube channel of his own.
