Betelgeuse Supernova Soon? New Update

Показать описание
There’s an exciting update on the supernova of Betelgeuse. A recent study shows that we may have significantly underestimated the size of the red supergiant and its evolution timeline. Betelgeuse could have almost depleted all its carbon and be on the verge of undergoing a supernova. Researchers say that Betelgeuse may seem to explode in a few tens of years rather than hundreds of thousands of years. This is a big deal because the star is located about 650 light years away from us, which means that what we see now is actually how it appeared 650 years ago. If the study, based on the analysis of the star’s fundamental mode and overtones, is correct, it means that Betelgeuse may have already gone supernova in real-time, and we might be fortunate enough to witness this incredible event in our lifetime.

I do hope this happens in my lifetime, I really want to see with my own eyes what it will look like in the sky

Scariest part is the "we may have UNDERESTIMATED..."

We are actually watching the past of everything.

Tens ? Tbh i see Betelgeuse quite often from my apartment and it's absolutely nuts how the light is fluctuating, literally with naked eye you can see it gain or loose like 60% brightness in 1 second, it's crazy active. I remember watching the stars camping next to a lake around 3 years ago and it wasn't this active. I agree there are activity peaks but still..

Betelgeuse supernova is gonna be the greatest event of the century for sure.

I think all humans should have gotten to see at least 1 supernova in their respective lifetimes. I hope this happens soon!

In the "Sri Pothuluri Veerabrahmendra Swamy" Scriptures or predictions, it is mentioned that a star will explode In "Krodhi Naama Samvathsara (2024) Maargashira Maasa (December) and the Star ⭐ is non other than Beetlegeuse star

The amazing thing to me is; humanity is finally advanced enough to document such astronomical events in hreat detail, from gravity waves, to infered, x-ray, and other readings of various forms of energy released, to video recordings in 4K or wven higher. Our ability to record and oass on knowledge to future genwrationa just gets better and better; and if we are able to someday travel near the speed of light, or able to warp space to travel the great distances in real time, probes could give us an even closer detailed look of such events. Thankfully our ever improving telescope technology is giving us a better view if the universe.

I hope I'll be able to see Betelgeuse go supernova in my lifetime.

Dates would be nice. Is this recent recent or the previous most recent after the earlier recent study?

Beetleguese has already gone supernova but it hadn't reached us yet

I once saw a super nova when I was a child, it look like there were 2 suns and after a while it disappeared, it was very strange I did not know it was a super nova because I was a child, but that event I never forgot. It was incredible and very strange for a kid!
