Girl... I was in survival mode. I didn't have a cell phone, I rented a room and stayed there even though the landlady was abusive because I couldn't afford anything else, I took the bus only and walked 30min to go buy the monthly card cuz it's cheaper than paying once at a time, I finally bought a bike for $90 so I could get to classes at the university on time after 3yrs, and I kept my food to <$5 a day. Getting nails and not paying bills because of wants is not "trying to survive".
