i’ve always wanted to learn more about Nietzsche’s philosophy but never dared to read the books. I recently discovered your channel and it has truly been an amazing experience to binge watch all the videos. Excellent work my friend, thank you for helping us dive and get a richer look into this great mind. It is much appreciated.

One thing we can consider about this topic, is how good times and bad times affect the movement. If the times are good, people's lives are improving, life in the mob is good. Therefore more people want to support the status quo of the mob. Meanwhile if times are bad, life being part of the mob is bad. So more people want to leave from the mindset of the mob and become part of the exception.

One good example of this is the renaissance. The terrible black plague had just ended. Life was so hard that most people wanted to be the exception, not part of the mob. Which is how ideologies against the standard rules of religion were replaced with opposite ideals of rationality, freedom, and mankind at the center of society.

Thanks you so much for covering Nietzsche in such an accessible and authentic manner. I am attempting to use his advice for combating neuroticism in my life so that I can live more free and be the best version of myself. Your videos are excellent companion to the source material.

Great video, but there seems to be a diffrence between ecxeptional individuals whos ideas allow for such a symbiosis between the herd and the exceptonal itself, and those ecxeptional individuals such as de sade who wouldnt fit such a scheme. Making such views truely ecxeptional, Even to the point that they dont fit Nietzsches schema

Philosophy without wisdom is useless. You have to take a meaningful part in a normal human life to gather enough information, (wisdom) to make philosophical statements that are actually relevant to mankind. A normal human life means family/love and providing for that family. Extreme mental abilities, whether it is in music or art or mathematics etc are comparably limiting to people with mental disabilities due to the inability to attain wisdom, when the brain is autisically dealing with single subjects.

I thought for a long time last year about this question. I used to be an establishment elitist. I have repented from my ways, but I've found another form of elitism that suits my temperament, closer to what Nietzsche evokes: an elitism of the mind. What this lead me to realize is that _rationality_ is a social construct, as that which is _rational_ doesn't follow as being _true_ . That which is deemed _rational_ is, more often than not, contextual. Empirically, it is deeply tied to consensus and opinion. Rationality only exists in temporal, instantiated segments, without continuity or contiguity with the grand scheme of things. _Logic_, on the other hand, is everything rationality is not.
Considering all the gaslighting I have gone through these last years under the pretense of the _consensus_ and _rationality_ (for which I have been completely vindicated), I no longer have any time for _rationality_, as _truth_ and _logic_ are my only ideals.

. Nothing more amusing than peering at the great 'herd' & seeing it approaching ever closer the despised, horrifying precipice to which it has the inexorable magnetic attraction beyond its capability of either seeing or understanding but which it must blindly cast itself off & for a brief instant then decieve itself by claiming to have learned its lesson.
The 'Gods' greatest delight eternally mocking us mortals. Who knows this, only the 'exceptionl', 'crazy' few. LOL!
Ever & ever without end. Amen
