I remember there was a time I wouldn’t smile fully because I thought my teeth were too big. Not realising that it is the emotion behind the smile that is attractive - joy!
No matter how you look, you are attractive only if you are happy and comfortable with who you are.
Do you tend to criticise yourself often? Are you very hard on yourself for the way you look?
When we say things like I hate my hair, I am too short or I don’t like my skin, we are simply moving away from loving ourselves fully. This leads to low self-worth.
We would avoid situations and live in worry. We all are different and unique in our own way and there is nothing wrong with us.
Do you see how babies love every part of themselves? They look at themselves with so much wonder. And see how happy they are!
We can feed ourselves the most nourishing foods, take care of our sleep and exercise and prioritize self care.
In Yoga, we focus on moving away from the identification with the physical self. This leads to acceptance and the realisation that we are so much more than the body and how we look.
The most beautiful way of loving ourselves more is to care for ourselves like we would for babies.
