I had the great pleasure of filming my latest composition "Esja" in Iceland with violinist Alix Vaillot-Szwarc and cellist Özgür Kaya.

This piece is the title track from my album inspired by mountains (Esja is the mountain just north of Reykjavík which you can just about see through the mists).

0:54 Note: Piano begins slow descending scale

As you know Luke, I had listened to this piece this afternoon. I had it on loop all afternoon to try and get an intuitive understanding. There is a great temptation to use visual metaphors but I fear I won't do it justice. The music speaks for itself. The dialogue between you, violinist Alix Vaillot-Szwarc and cellist Özgür Kaya is exquisite and sublime. And the music?? It is intensely, heartachingly and indescribably beautiful. It was a real privilege to be able to listen to you three together. As Always with Heartfelt Thanks and the Warmest Wishes to You, Alix Vaillot-Szwarc and Özgür Kaya for a thriving career and more collaborations in the future, Ros 😊🙏🥰

How is it that such beauty exists in this fallen world?

I love how the violin and the cello intertwine so beautifully. And the piano speaks alongside them all in such a meditative and rythmic exchange. Georgously done! You compositions are always beautiful, no matter the instrumentation.

I think the piece came from an inspiration found in nature, especially in the first light of the morning. Thanks for sharing

Wow. I began listening and immediately took a deep breath and felt a sense of peace. Some music is especially therapeutic and this falls in that category. I've tried to write this comment 4 times now and find myself struggling for words. This is very good, Luke. A different kind of good than the collaboration with Vesi, and a different kind of good than your solo piano works. Not better, but it hits deeper, somehow.
