5 Ways To Save Your Sim From Death | The Sims 4 Guide

1. Giving the Grim Reaper a Death Flower: If a second sim in your household has a Death Flower in their inventory, they can give this to the Grim Reaper when he comes to claim the life of another sim, which will see him spare your sim from death.

2. Eating Ambrosia: Once a sim dies you will need to befriend their ghost and invite them into your household. Then having them eat ambrosia (requires an angelfish, death flower and potion of youth) will restore their physical form.

3. The Book Of Life: A sim who completes the Bestselling Author aspiration will be able to write the Book of Life. Have them write it, and then use it to capture the epic saga of another sim. If that sim (who has had their epic saga captured) passes away for any reason, befriend their ghost and invite them into your household. Then simply have them read their own story from the Book of Life that captured their epic saga and they will return to their physical form.

4. Untamed Magic Spells: Realm Of Magic Game Pack required. Here your sim will need to train up to be a Master Spellcaster and learn both the Necrocall and Dedeathify spells. If a Sim dies, they can use the Necrocall spell to summon their ghost. Befriend them and add them to your household, and then cast the Dedeathify spell, which will turn them human again.

5. The Potion of Prompt Resurrection: Realm of Magic Game Pack required. Here your sim will need to train up to be a Master Spellcaster and learn how to make the Potion of Prompt Resurrection. This will require a Death Flower, Death Metal and Zombie Carl to brew, which can occasionally be found at the potion ingredients store in Casters Alley.

You forgot the magical well from romantic garden. If it's in a good mood it can turn the ghost back to life.

This isn't related to saving a Sim from death, but if you have your Sim knit a Lil Grim toy and give it to the reaper, it will reset their age to the beginning of their current life stage. It's pretty handy and it works really well.

Herbio spell is a great way to get a death flower, they also get them from potions of luck and using the cauldron to experiment. The evil chicken from Cottage Living saves you from death just like a familiar can (but gauranteed)

I also think there’s a few vampire perks that make vampires completely immortal. I don’t know if that counts though, since you have to be a vampire, and plus it doesn’t revive you after death, it only saves you from death. So I don’t know if it still counts as a death cheat but it’s a handy thing to know for people who own the pack.

There are at least 3 other ways to cheat death. Two were added after this video, and those would be Evil Chickens and Vitality Nectar. One, however, was overlooked here. That would be Familiars. Like the Evil Chicken, if a Spellcaster has an active Familiar, it can drive away Grim before he has a chance to reap your Sim's soul and you get revived. There is a cooldown on this. 24 in-game hours, I think. I actually made use of this recently. My Sim was hanging out with her Club at the Spa and she went hysterical. She dropped before I had a chance to calm her down. Her Bunnerfly saved her life by telling grim to take a hike.

Fun fact if you have a evil chicken it will kick the grim reapers ass and bring you back to life, so it's not that evil. Or maybe it just wants to kill you itself

I also think grimbucha (eco-lifestyle fizzy juicing) saves you from death too, like the potion of prompt resurrection. It's nice if you are a single sim household and plan to do something dangerous like rock climb the mountain in Mt. Komorebi.

My husband Sim died from laughter while playing with our little daughter…right in front of her. I didn’t know this was a thing. She cried looking over his dead body. That’s so messed up! I reloaded my save thinking he was gone forever. I’m glad there’s a way to bring them back, but holy SHIT! That’s morbid! lol

one thing to remember. You can't use spells on children. even dead ones. So you aren't bringing back your child with dedeathify.

You can also just ask the reaper to not take a sim. Doesn't always work but if it doesn't there's a trick called "exit without saving" lol

I have my doubts on the Potion of Immortality, but I hope it does rly work. I'm running out of aspiration points for the Potion of Youth. I haven't tried it, but I'll see if I can use Copypasto on the youth potion.
