Main money saving tipp I practice since last year: not buying new clothes unless it is absolutly needed. So last year I bought a shirt and fives pairs of socks. That was plenty.

Yes splurge video!

My husband and I adopted three kids 9months into being married at age 25. Three years later and we have a 4th on the way. I found you on YouTube soon after we got our kids years ago and your tips and lifestyle have been so helpful and your values align with ours (from what you’ve shared). We KNOW a big family is in our calling at this point and I I’m always looking to budget one or two kids in advance so that it is an easier adjustment when we add kiddos from bio, foster and/or adoption routes.

Thanks for sharing!

Seasonally I sell outgrown clothes/toys and kids items to fund another need maybe school clothes, a small vacation, a room makeover things like that. You would be shocked at how little kids need .

I would highly recommend getting apps for restaurants you eat at a lot, I love Chick-fil-A and I’ve gotten so much free food just from eating there!

I have saved so much money by replacing all of my cleaning supplies with ecloth! I bought the kit to see if I liked it off of Amazon and once I felt like it was worth switching for good, I stocked up on the kitchen cloths and window cleaning ones. I also switched to a steam mop versus the traditional mop bucket and solution. No more bulky bucket to drag around and absolutely no cleaning supplies. All it needs is water! I have also saved money on paper napkins by sewing my own napkins and washing it. The only thing I still buy cleaning products for is for my bathroom. Spray bleach, paper towels, and toilet bowl. It's gross to reuse cloths, no thank you. I have saved so much money, time, and space in my home now that I've made some changes.

"You do you boo"!! Hahaaa Loved that! So true!!😉😂💁 I use the same method on named brand clothing. I'm not buying name brand until they are older and asking in the teenage year's I'm sure that will kick in. My 2 and 8 year old do just fine in walmart shoes, I see no point in buying tiny nikes that cost more than my shoes! 💁

My new favorite saying is going to be "we are not running all over hell and half of Georgia"!!! And since I live in GA with my 8 kids, it is perfect! 🤣 Love your videos and how real you always are!

I’m not a mom, just a recent college grad who’s still strapped for cash but my tip is swapping out meat on occasion. This isn’t something I do super often but just last week I made tacos using canned corn and black beans (I’ve also added rice in the past to bulk it up and stretch it more) instead of meat. Still super good but less than $2 for the two cans instead of $5-6 for a pound of ground beef. You don’t have to be vegetarian or vegan to eat meatless every so often and not only is it good for the environment but also a real money saver if you’re going for whole foods instead of “vegan substitutes”.

This came at a great time! We are only a family of four but we just decided to try and pay off our house in the next 36 months 😬 (5 years total) so we are basically cutting our spending in half and sending half of our income towards our house. Huge lifestyle change. Thank you for this!

We have five little ones and live in an expensive area on the West Coast, so I LOVE videos like this! Thank you for the tips, Angela! 😊

Costo pizza for the win! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I used to go there to eat with my friends during college. We were all low on cash and everyone loved it. 👏👏👏

Thanks for the great savings tip.. Its 7 of us total.. We need all the tips and tricks.. The costco is one of our favorite as well.. But only when shopping there, never even thought about it for a regular day... Trying to work on couponing its a little overwhelming keeping up.. But its worth it in the end.. Would love to see a video on how you guys splurge for a night out on the town.. Enjoy all of your videos, vlogs and advice. Such a beautiful family..

Take what you need and leave the rest or “you do you boo” lol.
1. Laundry detergent - front load washers, get regular detergent, not HE, then use 1/3 to 1/2 of directed use. In 2000, no HE detergents, called P&G, Tide, asked how to still use Tide and that’s what they told me to do. Been doing it ever since, works great. Cuts cost of detergent, cuts container trash, easy to do.
2. When drying clothes add a dry, clean towel, cuts dryer time.
3. Capsule wardrobe for kids. Cuts costs, cuts stress for kids, teaches them skills for adulthood.
4. Free games with kids (that teach skills) driving in car - little kids car colors, shapes truck or car, older kids could be license plates for states - recognize name and spelling, once home map them. Are the travelers close or from far away. Maybe even another country. Counting how many stop signs or lights from your house to library, school, etc. At home, Card games to learn math and strategy. interact with your kids, it teaches them values and that you value them. Sometimes my mom juggled 4 games in the car cause we were all at different skill levels.
5. Love these 2 books on money and frugality. The Tightwad Gazette by Amy Dycyzyn and Your Money or Your Life by Vicki Robbins. TG is frugal ideas, concepts and tips. YMorYL is your relationship to/with money and your understanding of what money is and is not. You need 5 books for a home - The Bible, The Joy of Cooking, Dictionary, The Tightwad Gazette and Your Money or Your Life. Others may come and go but these are your foundation.

I’m a second hand clothes gal especially for my kids! I love scoring good using clothing. I follow Facebook groups in my area and keep an eye on local church events (lots have yard sales for fund raising). It’s amazing what you can find, some stuff still has tags! Plus kids don’t care... and soon enough they turn to teens who have better wardrobes than you!
