I loved the Las-98 in HD1 but it was never a fully viable pick over most other heavy weapons. This needs to improve damage as it gets hotter and should be able to melt armour before it'd become viable.

Is it the most practical/effective? No. But is it fun and satisfying to melt bugs and bots with a laser? Absolutely.

This video is an L. Sorry man. You need to show its effectiveness vs big enemies etc. Any weapon can kill smaller enemies with ease - there just wasn't enough good info for us consumers.

I love the laser but it would be nice if higher heat would deal way more damage

I like it. It’s not the best, but it never runs out of ammo so if you run it in cycle you will get the bang for your buck out if it. Like I’ll use it for midaling range and fit basically little guys and swarms. But then when the ankier guys eventually get close I’ll pull out the breaker and melt them. I also use rover drone. That frees you a couple slots for big armor piercing stratagems or guns. I just beat a difficultly 8 mission for the first time using that load out and I carried tf out of my team. 700 kills. They all had like 200-450. And it came down to the wire. But the load out it great for mobile play styles, you can kite and whittle down most bug swarms. And even if a charger or stalker or bike titans comes around just stay mobile distract and use big shit and you’ll be fine. Bike titans are pretty easy to deal with once you get used to it. You can literally run under them and they’ll get kinda lost for a second trying to figure out where you are. Just keep the numbers down overall and your good

Unfortunately the lasers are pretty under powered so far. I’m not sure what change they need but they need something.

It’s a shame because I love the laser guns. Very fun.
