When he said "oHL stains" I felt that.

I’m so glad everyone caught that “ohl stain” I just thought I was going insane

I’ve used tide detergent on many oil stains and they typically come out with ease after some agitation, learned that trick off a donut media video and it works!

We used to use diesel/brake clean along with a degreaser/dawn dish soap when I worked in the oil and gas industry.

I used to say oil the exact same way, and I got mocked when I moved to the east coast. People are ruthless!

You can also wet the concrete down and then take tide clothes soap sprinkle it all over agitated with the husk broom don't let it dry let it set 45 minutes and wash it all down

The way you said oil reminded me of that video of a woman getting her husband to say “The dog licked the oil and everyone laughed”

Hey FSE, if you want to start providing a rust removal service, look for a bottle of this stuff called ospho, you just let it sit on the surface for a long time and then wash it off and the metal will be prepped for painting

Try PROSOCO Grease and Oil Stain Remover. Its a poultice material so you do need to let it dry over night. But that should get ride of the rest of the oil your de-greaser can not get. Its supposed to suck out the oil into itself and then drys up and you sweep it up the next morning.

Also remember you can also charge an additional amount for taking out additional stains such as these because they do require stronger chemicals

Bentonite. Same as used to line ponds. Spread bentonite and allow it to sit. Brush back as and forth several times a day. Changing the bentonite as it becomes oily. A few days the bentonite which is a super absorbent will pull the oil out of the concrete.

As an automotive technician for over 35 years. ZEP is and always will be the best chemical to use.

After you remove what you can, for residential upsell them to a Duraplate finish coat. Comes on any color. After that any oil or other stain literally will hose off. Good luck

I've actually had shockingly great results using dawn and cat litter on a gravel-concrete driveway: rinse, dawn, agitate, cat litter, leave for 30 minutes, sweep up, rinse, cat litter for 30 minutes, sweep up, rinse. Don't even need a pressure washer. Just a normal garden hose.

At gas stations they put a powder and after a week the oil spots go away. Like completely. It's a 1week treatment. We have to block off the area for the day then over time in that week the concrete gets cleaner and cleaner

Dry dirt over oil when spilled does wonders for future oil stain cleaning. Just leave the dirt over for a few weeks and clean it up eventually and some dawn soap and water with a brush should wipe it clean then use a pressure washer.
