I tried this for my hormonal acne (from PCOS) and it made my skin drier than the Sahara and then extremely sensitive and inflamed from the dryness. Also made little to no difference to my acne. Do not recommend unless mayyyybe for very oily skin. Dry or combo skin I would stay away.

If someone has skin that’s not sensitive, very oily and has specifically FUNGAL acne, knock yourself out. Absolutely would never recommend for hormonal acne or sensitive skin at all.

I thought it was head & shoulders for fungal acne. About 7 years ago it was nizarol…it doesn’t work for all ppl either

From personal experience I found that Nizoral is useful for stubborn acne and texture. Also I found it way less irritating than benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid washes

Hmmm.I have usually dry/dehydrated, mild type 1 and 2 rosacea. I have tried both Dermaharmony and Naturola zinc pyrithione soap on my face. I like it to counteract itch. I combat the dryness by applying vaseline in the stick on my face and gently rub it in afterwards. I feel it kinda gets rid of the "roughness" or "texture" on my face. I used it on my scalp which I really liked but I needed a ton of hair conditioner afterwards. 😂. Its all good. Nothing is perfect.

Clascoterone cream did what tret did not do for me! I no longer worry about acne and focus full on treating hyperpigmentation and acne scars.

If we should be wearing SPF everyday and mineral sunscreen has zinc in it isn’t it more effective to use mineral sunscreen on your face (and leave it there) than head and shoulders on you hair, or face for a few seconds 😱 and wash it of?

Not sure if these two zincs are really different, but I do find mineral sunscreen with zinc *oxide* in it reduces the redness of my acne. It definitely doesn't get rid of it though.

I know it's counterintuitive because it's so greasy but a dab of PENATEN diaper rash cream (the one in the tin, it's thicker than in the tube) on a pimple before going to bed dries them up in a few days for me. Too bad I discovered that trick only in my late 30s! It must be the zinc oxide in it.

How would you/would you suggest using it if you wanted to try out this method?
