Post coital vaginal dryness and burning sensation is a very common problem. Usually it is seen when there is less of foreplay and because of the less foreplay, there will be less of lubrication leading to burning sensation during or after the coitus. So if that is the reason then there should be or of foreplay so that the problem goes off. Second thing, it might be because of latex allergies for some people. So sometimes after condom use, some people may be allergic to condom. So patient might experience itching or dryness following the intercourse. So they have to change to a different mode of contraception if that is the reason. Again in premenopausal or menopausal ladies, it is sense that they experience this problem because of the hormonal changes in the body. So less of estrogen in this ladies can lead to vaginal dryness, leading to post coital itching and dryness and they can seek help with a doctor and then proper medication can be given to them for relief. Sometimes infections can also lead to vaginal itching. So in that case patient might need antibiotic treatment.
