Tatting - a Small Square

preview_player
Показать описание
From the same fabric as the medallion from the previous video, here is a small square/diamond that can also be made with one shuttle although in this case I am using two so that it's quicker to make the split ring and also so that I can demonstrate another way to hide the thread end.

Don't forget to adjust settings so you can see this video in HD!

The pattern for this design can be found here:

The little square is amazing. Trying to learn to tat by watching videos on you tube. It’s a slow process but I’m trying

Oh it is a lovely design. Especially because it makes a square pattern when joined. I had been searching for a pattern like this either crochet or tatting from which I could make a square form when joined but was unsuccessful. Thank you for uploading this. The picots give such a classic lacy look exactly what I was looking for. Now all I need is a second tatting needle to begin this project- being a beginner I only have one.

Hi, I've made a couple small doilies a few years ago and just this week picking up my shuttles again. I use your awesome shuttles too! They make tatting fun for sure but I have a question today about the thread twisting and turning as I close the rings. I'm always tugging on that thread to close it. 3 or 4 times and sometimes I have to wrap the thread around my hand to get a good pull. Then the stitches look wonky. What am I doing wrong? Is it the way I'm winding the thread onto the bobbin?

In the part where you make the 1st Josephine Knot, I had a hard time seeing where you connected it to. It would have been better if you did a close up on that particular part. Thank you for taking the time showing how this is made.

How can u do it fast and maintain it equally tight? Because I've tried to make sure each stitches is tight enough and ended up hurt my finger. 😔

I could not get my last thread to come through on the magic loop. My thread broke. Also, do you have detailed video on connecting additional squares together, sides and corners?
