1963, the year of my Dad's birth (and an infamous cold winter)! Interesting to see what made the top 10 in the UK 60 years ago and good to see you cover the 60s years. Some evergreens here amongst this line-up. I bet people wanted a 'Summer Holiday' in that winter lol! 'Say Wonderful Things' was our Eurovision entry and came fourth.

The Beatles, Elvis, Ray Charles, Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison - what more could you ask for here. 'I Only Wanna Be With You' is my top favourite here. Surprised how many I am familar with! Thank you Francis for this is a great upload and concept 👍

Dire que c'était il y a 60 ans... C'est fou ce que le monde a changé des décennies après... Il y a une certaine insouciance (dans certains cas, on peut même parler de joie de vivre) qui ressort de certaines chansons, qui sont pour la plupart des classiques... A l'écoute de ces chansons, je ne peux m'empêcher de penser aux films français avec Jean Gabin, Louis De Funès, Bourvil (le cinéma français vivait un certain âge d'or à l'époque). C'était aussi à cette époque qu'étaient apparus les premiers repentis dans la mafia sicilienne (suite à la première guerre interne de la mafia en 1962/1963).
