The Duolingo English Test is the newest English proficiency test available for English students to take in order to get an official English score. You usually need to take a test like the Duolingo English Test before you apply to a university or college in an English-speaking country. The Duolingo English Test is made specifically for those who need to receive an official English score to study at a university or college. It’s similar to the IELTS and TOEFL; however, even though this test is quite new, it is accepted by a lot of universities around the world. You can go to the Duolingo English Test website to find out whether the university you want to attend accepts the test or not.

Dear Teacher Luke, thank you for your video, I watched about 10's of yours, did 3 times Duolingo practice test, got 110-130, 105-120, and 110-130.
At the time of the real test, I have a hard time to start the test (download the test for 10minutes, 15minutes, last time I waited until 30minutes, then after 2 days and 3 failed start, I changed my wifi to another provider which then started the test right away...tadaa).
The real test was harder than the practice, especially the "describe the picture" test (which I only able to write 2 sentences, instead my plan 4) and "fill in the blank" test (which sometimes I don't know the answer).
Surprisingly, after sometimes waiting in frustation, I got 120 total result (althou low in production), but since my US uni only need minimum DET 105, I been accepted to my uni. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ALL OF YOUR EFFORT TO HELP US ALL 🙏🙏🙏

The School informed me yesterday of the need to take the test and submit test scores soonest. I have no idea what to do till I came across your page on YouTube. Hello, Teacher Luke. I was supposed to take the exam a week ago but I felt unconfident because I know nothing about the exam. So, I looked up on Youtube for videos about the test then I stumbled on your channel. I followed your tips, watched the courses, and did all of the full practice tests. Then, I took the exam last Tuesday and was really expecting a low score because of the short amount of time to review. Just checked my results and I passed (130 overall)!

Hi teacher Luke, just one curious question on how to better approach this type of writing question. Should describing the picture be more like of assuming things what could be happening or should it gear towards the more factual elements of the picture? Personally I tend towards assuming what could be happening for me to be able to create a more colorful story rather than basing it on factual data which make my answer more like of the labeling type, though in this case it makes me worried it might cost me some points if I stay with my natural style - that of which is to deduce, infer or assume based on my observation and what I see in the picture....
