7 Types of Women Boaters You Will Meet on the Water

My wife loves being on the boat. She'll fish get in the tube with the kids, help dock, get the boat ready, help load the boat. The only things she won't do is drive the boat or drive the truck with the trailer.

My sister and her husband have a couple of what I call hotrod boats. The 23' has a 5.7 that has been tweaked and the 34' has twin 502's in it i believe. She is in her 50's and is as passionate as anyone involved with boats as I know. In her younger days she could have been a unicorn by your description, now she is closer to the retired end in the category. It is all good because any day on the water is better than inside at a desk. And she will be the first to tell you that.

When I worked as a cashier in Michigan years ago I once had to help take groceries to the marina in my car because two retired teachers had bought a boat. I got to see all around the cabin cruiser boat. Thanks so much for the cool videos. Keep up the good work. God bless.

I’m a boat girl, captained a Morgan OutIsland 33 sail while my 6’4” husband was deckhand. He said it was better for me to “drive” since he was stronger and as a former cowboy from Montana he could wrangle a dock. We went in slow and steady, didn’t bump anyone. Mind the weather and it’s all good! was his boat!

I met my first and last love about 32 years ago, and she stole my heart from the second we met. She was and is always waiting for me. She also like to meet new people but can be a little jealous at times. I watched her frosty tips blow in the wind, gazed as the sun captured her beautiful blues, and greens, I have even experienced her gentle calmness, and her dark, angry side. When you hear her call it is impossible to ignore, not that you could even if you tried. She is the love that you will gladly spend your whole day with and possibly the night as well. It doesn't matter if she's small, thin, and curvy. Or big and wide, you stare into her depths and every time you receive a new surprise, and gain that much more respect her. How I love my first love. How I love the open water whether it is a wide rolling river, a calm sunny lake, or the salty tang of the sea. The water has stolen my heart from day one, and I am glad to have had that experience.

22yr old gal here. I sold my sport bike and bought a 2011 J16 carolina skiff. I solo fish quite often. Mostly reds/trout but am teaching myself to fresh water fish at a near by lake.

My wife is somewhere between #2 and #1. One of these days she'll be a unicorn. She can almost back the trailer down the ramp as well as I can and I'm a trailer backing master. She's learning the ins and outs and always asking questions wanting to learn. Next season she wants to get her boater's card, learning all she can this season so she can take her mom out fishing for some one on one time. Yup, got me a keeper!!
