My wife and I were on a cruise when the fog rolled in. We had an entire evening of laughing, as people walked across the Lido deck as the horn went off, and instantly jumped out of their skin! Lol :-)

Having only cruised out of Australia I’ve never experienced this… I just figured they relied on their computers and didn’t think of the little ships…very interesting.

Speaking of little ships, if you ever get a chance to sail out of Sydney Harbour, it’s one of the most beautiful in the world.

I recently experienced a fog bank on a cruise ship and the captain sounded the horn any 5 minutes. I just stayed awake.

I too had a balcony view room. I love the cruise that I went on with Royal Caribbean. The ship was called the Harmony of the Seas. I love that cruise line.
