During this pandemic I'm buying lots of stocks.
Beef stock, chicken stock, fish stock. Soon I'm going to be a bouillon-ere!🤣

Buy your meat first. I have done this for thirty years. Also give yourself a budget for each category. Fifty for meat, twenty five for vegetables and and twenty five for carbohydrates. It works.

This is such a great video! Our family cut 90% of our meat out 2 years ago. We saved money, lost weight without trying, and have so much more energy. I also make our own cleaning products mainly with Dr. Bronners soap. Laundry & other home care products have been so inexpensive, & our cabinets are not cluttered with a product for everything. You are so smart and doing such a huge service to your community. Thank you for the tips! I always learn something new =)

I totally agree with shopping alone. I don't like when my husband comes to the store with me I always wind up spending more because he constantly adds to my cart when I plan my weekly meals, bring a list, and coupon along w/rebate apps and am good about sticking with it.

Cutting down on meat definitely helped reduce my food budget. Bartering sounds innovative, need to look more into what services I could exchange. I can't stress enough the importance of having a budget and sticking to it.

Cutting down on meat helped me and my husband save money AND we feel so much better. We also are doing a no spend year(allowing myself a candle here and there) and are saving much.

I am one of those who doesn't like autopay. To get around it and still keep it simple I called all my providers and moved the due date to the first of the month. I pay all of my bills the last Friday of every month, this way all my bills are paid before the 1st of the month. I only have to deal with bills once a month and being the last Friday of the month makes it easier to remember. I'm not very good at explaining but I hope you know what I'm trying to say.

I really enjoy your videos. Thanks for taking the time to make them.

Wow I didn't know vegetarians can save that much money in a year! Buying meat is usually the most expensive thing when I go to the grocery story. Gonna have to try to incorporate more meatless protein in my diet

The tips are great! I thrift to find quality over quantity, only looking for all natural fibres like cotton, wool, cashmere and silks. I tend to feel the urge to shop when I watch Youtude videos on shopping, I also pay my bills early so its never late nor take a couple of days to process.

I love the batch cooking idea and preventing food waste is such an important step. Keep up the great work!

I always thought produce was in the front so you start in the back, get your produce, then go straight to check out so it stays more fresh. But now that I think of it, your explanation of grocery stores pulling a fast one on us makes me sense

Yes! Love your travel light concept - can be “carried over” to the grocery store too - only grab a shopping basket instead of a whole cart, and what you can only buy will be what you can only carry 😎 helps me stick to my small lists. Another great video Vee! 💞 your channel!

Shopping alone! Yes! We egg each other on and suddenly you have 2 pairs of shoes at checkout instead of the one pair you needed. It is like the studies show that eating out with the girls we eat many more hundreds of calories. We get so into the experience of being part of the merry band until we get that bill, or step on the scale and see the damage.

Excellent video. Lots of practical tips that really do work. Eat less meat has really cut down on my grocery bill. I always shop at the produce section last too...I didn't know you could get paid for mystery shopping...I also like your tip about disputing late charges or fees. I have received many refunds for overdraft fees just by asking!

Another reason for having produce upfront is that after having healthy stuff in our carts we don't feel as guilty for buying unhealthy things that they're going to market to you on the store.
It's like an excuse for your brain to give to yourself: you already have your greens so you deserve this ice cream/candy/chips, wtv...
