I'm sorry for your loss. When I travel for work, I always make sure to bring a bottle or pack of instant coffee with me so that I can enjoy a hot cup of coffee☕ in my hotel room right away. Additionally, I use it to make sweets.

Condolances🙏🏻 I do have a jar of instant coffee that I use in baking that calls for instant.
I have a great Bambino Plus set up that gives me a great triple shot. But my work flow is slow when I just want a great espresso in the morning.
If I had $1000 in my budget I would buy the the Barista Express Impress.

For $1000 I was able to get my first set up: gaggia Classic from 2003 (with PID upgrade and other essential mods like wand etc) and a DF83.

I agree on the don't go half way. I got a DF83 as from my research with the stock burrs, it produces the best to my pallet. A traditional profile that is capable of a lot of clarity. The other endgame grinders are more for juicy and high clarity which isnt what I look for in an espresso. At least not as a daily driver. Ill eventually upgrade from my Gaggia Classic too as I want a PID machine that's capable of flow control. But I'll save and wait

I actually hate sey coffee. They don’t make a coffee that taste like coffee. It taste like crappy tea. Very expensive for not a good cup. Good brothers and equator both make a better cup of black coffee for me.
