this is the way to go, its basically a shortcuts to the files on your computer which frees up your disk space, and you can still access it instantly just by clicking on it and editing it etc. just have to make sure u have internet.

I added 10 GB of data to my desktop, my storage went from 97GB used to 107 GB used, I synced the desktop up to onedrive and then storage used went to 111 GB, I turned the Onedrive sync to cloud only, and the files no longer show up on the desktop but storage used is now 109 GB. How can you get rid of the new 12 GB of used storage?
