I do not have settings option on file manager, it is available only on the onedrive icon on taskbar. & when you go there, no backup tab as well. you can't choose to stop the synch or remove the synch from folders bec it wants to synch them first. my one drive is only 5gb so if it synchs, it won't have enough space

sir, my "documents" folder was synced with onedrive, i stopped onedrive syncing. Now the "Documents" folder is empty, The files in Documents are in onedrive "documents"

OneDrive Backup is so scummy. Thx for helping me get rid of it. It's insane to me that the settings to disable the backup don't exist in the settings menu for OneDrive. Thx for helping me navigate this confusing mess.

I am using a second account on someone else's borrowed laptop, and want to download some info and a chrome buddysession onto either a file or notepad. As long as I click home and not onedrive the laptop owner won't ever be able to see my info? Thanks.

One Drive is very annoying.. it's supposed to be simple like google drive, instead my windows11computer automatically installed everything into Onedrive and when I delete it from the Onedrive folder, it also deletes the original file in my computer. So the "solution" I find online is to open Onedrive, copy my file, and paste it in my computer Document folder, but now I have 2 copies of the same file. that is dumb. I should be able to delete anything off of Onedrive without deleting or touching the original file in my computer. It's supposed to save a copy of my file, for backup, and not save the original file in my Onedrive cloud. I installed like 80 gigs of music software and it all got installed in my Onedrive cloud.. so annoying figuring this out. I feel like a noob

Here's the issue. When you clicked the stop backup, notice that it put a checkmark on the file. The verbiage says checked files will be backed up. So what's up with that?
