My eardrum got perforated on 12th March. There was no blood or pus discharge. Nor there was any pain. By 19th April it was fully healed. All i did was be on medication of anti-biotic for upto a week, to prevent any infection. Use cotton and a plastic cover sealed with a rubber band while taking a bath. And leaving it dry all the time. Please don't smoke or drink during this time. Be on proper diet. Time heals everything 😊

I was listening to music when suddenly I had the feeling that my ear was blocked.. I took off my headphones and I could only slightly hear noises from my right ear and so thats why I am here.. Its still blocked, painful and hard to hear from it

Ever since i was a few months i started getting ear infections and had all these symptoms and the doctors didnt really do anything but give me drops which made it worse. In August, they removed all the wax in my ears and yesterdaythey cut all my ear and repaired it and put packaging in there which will be removed in 3-4 weeks. The pain in the ears is not that bad after having some painkillers, it leaks with blood at least 2 a day and have to change the cotton ball twice as well. Obviously, I cant hear anything from the ear they operated on but soon I will. All ive been doing is had 13 hours sleep and resting a lot. Ill update you guys soon!

Put ear plugs or cotton balls in the affected ears even when showering because steam can get into the ears. The affected ear does not need a big ol' water droplet to get inside the ear to get infected. The steam alone can create an ear infection when one has a perforated ear drum.

I've had 3 ear infections in my right ear in the past 7 months, two at once, and now I have a ruptured eardrum in the same ear. Then I got sick. Fun! And I already suffer from Eustachian Tube Dysfunction, so double FUN!

Your diagram is incorrect. The eardrum labeled 'Normal' has perforation. The 'Ruptured' eardrum is intact. This thumbnail is very close to the top of the Google Image results; I hope it is not used in any presentations or as a reference for home diagnosis.

I had the first two symptoms and I think 2 days past before I went to the hospital let’s just say it wasn’t comfortable sleeping while having to clean discharge from your ear.

Everytime that I have a cold, I always have a yellow liquid( with blood sometimes if my cold is worse), earache and itchiness. And I am also experiencing the loss of hearing on my left ear but not completely, it's like i can hear more on my right ear than my ruptured ear. And sometimes vertigo and tinnitus. I went to the hospital for a long time (I think 6 yrs. ago or more) and had medication but only once and I hate my Mom for that, so until now I'm still suffering.. I have so many concerns about my health but my Mom doesn't even make move like to let me have a check up.

I am curious about my ear problem. I am wondering if my left eardrum is ruptured due to cleaning much. Yesterday, it was a little itchy so, I cleaned it but it seemed there is something that just blocking my eardrum. I was curious about this. Until now, it has the same feeling. It is not achy at all but it can't hear much. It is coming back in a normal hearing when streched but suddenly, it is blocked again. Tried to put a water just like what I did before when my left ear is clogged. Nothing happen. I watched this video and I felt happy since nothing of these is what I am seeing or feeling but, for us, we should consider our health too soon even if it is not as much as what we're expecting a big damage..
