As someone who used to get infections so much that I had to get actual surgery to not lose my hearing, I have a few tips that will work pretty well. First, if you can try to sit up because it won’t stop the pain most likely but it will help relieve pressure, you can also take painkillers because it really does hurt a lot. And the most important is if it hurts for a long time, hurts a lot, or is very uncomfortable and preventing you from doing stuff, GO TO THE DOCTOR, if your doctor is closed rn go to urgent care, trust me if something wasn’t wrong your body wouldn’t make your ear hurt like that. Lastly there are many types of medicine I’ve had for ear infections including, drops in my ears, some pink medicine that tasted actually so good, and this nasty white medicine that was horrible. No matter what medicine it is TAKE IT ok like whenever you are supposed to because I don’t care if it tastes gross it’s gonna be worth it

I HATE urgent care. I have been to urgent care for severe ear pain, and was sloughed off as a presumed complainer.

My ear pain did resolve, and I do understand that antibiotics don't always help, but they made no effort to explain what was happening to me, or why I was not receiving treatment, and they left me sitting with no communication for at least an hour.

What about tinnitus type ringing when laying on that affected side? Been dealing with a lot of head pressure and pain on that side too that goes from eye socket to my base of skull.
