You are correct according to scripture! The Bible is clear we are not under law, but Grace under the New Covenant. This quote explains all …
NEW COVENANT
Righteousness was perfected, divine justice was satisfied, blood was shed, redemption was paid, sins were forgiven reconciliation was achieved, death was conquered, salvation was secured, and the Law became obsolete. This is THE NEW COVENANT! Amen!

Adventists will say to evangelicals "So what are we supposed to do...not even try to keep the law?"

We are not justified by keeping the old Covenant law Amen but the church is not lawless we have laws, commands underthe New covenant to help us live Godly morally correct lives no laws in both old and new testament pertain to salvation

Please tell me what a Christian's attitude toward the law is? How should a Christian live? Doesn't sanctification lead Christians closer and closer to keeping the law? If the answer is yes, then Adventists will say "That is exactly what we are trying to do".

I agree the Sabbath isn't a matter of salvation, and that's one issue I have with Adventism as especially their claim that Sunday will be the "mark of the beast." I even agree that they're wrong to require the Old Covenant food laws on believers (no pork, shellfish, etc.) because we aren't under the Law of Moses. Where I disagree is on the Sabbath merely being Old Covenant. It's in the Ten Commandments, and if the other nine aren't simply Old Covenant, then why is the Sabbath?

Also, a minor nitpick, but Hebrews 2:11 says Christ adopts us as His brothers and sisters and the Father's sons and daughters.

What you just stated is False Gospel. How can keeping the Seventh Day Sabbath that Christ kept be a false Gospel. If it is, then all Christians are doomed.

Galatians 5:1-3 is saying that once you are Born Again, you will become empowered by the Holy Spirit to keep the Ten Commandments (Whole Law) of God, because within ourselves we cannot.

Galatians 5:4-5 is saying that you can not be saved by keeping the Ten Commandments alone, but once we receive the Holy Spirit (Born Again), the Spirit will allow us to keep the Law.

Salvation = Born Again + Law

That’s a false accusation. I’m an Adventist pastor, and you should do better research.
