I did it all chiropractor, pain management, rfa.
3 epidermal s , plasma transfusion into the spine, doing all lower back trying lower back once more and neck.
2 opinions, c2-c5-c-4 cervicle fusion and l4-l-5 replacement and s-1 fusion with bone graph.

Starting another round pain management before the major life changing surgery’s.

A good practitioner for post-injury care & healing is an Osteopath. IMO. They’re an MD with special training in muscles and joints. I found one who gives hands on treatments to gently realign the injured muscles etc. GREAT healing modality in my case of spinal compression fracture.

I wish I had known an attorney, as knowledgeable as you are, in my area, in 2010. I was hurt at work and required neck surgery to correct the injury. Because work comp wanted to try everything before surgery, I ended up with permanent nerve damage in my left arm and daily headaches. I was unable to lie down or even lean back from April until September, when my surgery finally happened. I still in a tremendous amount of pain and will see a pain clinic on a bi monthly basis for the rest of my life. I had an attorney and 5 doctors that wrote letters, detailed my injuries and was still denied disability. My husband is now the sole supporter of the family and our youngest child is in college. I have so many medical bills that I can’t afford and have no idea where to turn or what to do. Do you have any advice for me? Anything is appreciated.

I got hit in the RF tire by a guy who ran a red light. I have a bulging disc in L4 and whiplash with a broad based bulging disc in c3-4. Had mri’s for both and in injection in the spine and pt for the neck. I meet with my surgeon on the 24th to go over my options.

So my doctor didn’t give an mri even tho we requested it but ran other procedures on me and said it wasn’t a herniated problem and doesn’t know how long my pain will last... is that bad for my case?

What is the statute of limitations on an injury case? I was dropped on my head in the hospital after my heart stopped due to medication they gave me after I told them I was having reactions. Had a torn rotator cuff. 2018 I found out every disc from c1c2 to c6c7 was ruptured and I had walked around for 5 years with a broken neck. I've required two surgeries(fusions and complete disc replacement) and now I have Spinal stenosis and DDD due to ruptures. It affects me daily and has caused be to lose work.

If a patient's preference is chiropractic care, it seems that they might want to consult and document with an MD first to strengthen the case? Or, if a patient went to a chiropractor who knew how to document ligament instability with stress x-rays and apply a impairment rating with the AMA guides, would that be better? We know that discs herniate with repetitive trauma, but not blunt trauma, so an MRI would show a pre-existing disc injury.

What if I was in a near fatal car wreck but 19 years ago, I was speeding some on a dirt road that severely needed to be redone and I went around a curve, jumped an embankment and went airborne and hit two pine trees 12 feet in the air. My face and body flew through the windshield but the impact of the second tree (almost right next to one another and slightly behind the first tree I hit) so when I hit the second tree it threw me back into my truck onto the floorboard. I only remember waking up on my stomach on the floor. I woke up three to four days later with a shattered elbow..I cannot even stretch my arm out with full extension and the bones were impacted so powerfully it powdered most of my elbow..it looks deformed, and it causes me so much pain and no sleep I’m getting so tired of this. My face going through the windshield broke my jaws in three places, my left side of my face and cheek bone had to be reconstructed and I am severely scarred..I have keloid scarring all on the left side of my face from the impact and it has affected me severely, I often get asked if I was a burn victim. It broke all of my ribs, both lungs were collapsed, broke my right arm, I have a twelve inch long scar on my left arm and it’s about an inch wide. I have scars everywhere. I hate going out in public. It also cause nerve damage in my right arm and hand, the ulnar and median nerves were severely damaged and I had to work three months in therapy just to be able to move my pink my and ring finger, had to wear a molded made brace on my r hand to keep my fingers from flexing inwards making a fist. I have the mos horrible elbow, shoulder, back, and neck pain that I’m trying to live with, and it severely impacts my work, my jaws being broken have always caused me horrible head aches. I went through multiple months of therapy for my right elbow and arm and you could consider my arm crippled..I cannot weightbare at all. The injury cause the deformity in my elbow, and I also had to stay in and out of the hospital bc it was an open wound fracture and I caught osteomyelitis. Had to have a pick line inserted into me left arm so the vanquimyesin antibiotic could be give by IV only. The day I finally went to have it taken out I admitted that it had gotten very sore and I was unusually even more tired and sleepy than before. They sent it to the lab and the Dr came back and told me she didn’t know how I was alive at the moment or that I wouldn’t have made it through the next day had I not told them about the soreness and sleepiness..it got infected with e-coli going into the tip of my heart. Had to be rushed from that appointment by ambulance and put back on the IV antibiotics for another six to eight or nine weeks. Oh yes, it was my second elbow surgery when they found out I had osteomyelitis due to the pins and plates and all the hardware they put in my elbow during the initial surgery, some do the pins were coming out trying to break through the skin and they had to remove one, so in the second surgery when they went in to try and re fix my elbow they discovered the hardware in my elbow was covered with pus and severely infected. So now I have a bone infection that I also deal with a life long elbow/arm injury ..which hangs funny so it cause such strain in my shoulder and neck and back. Muscle spasms are unbearable at times, along with the nerve pain, and the severe deep bone pain. I also seizured coming out of many surgeries was told due to my head trauma that could cause me to seizure. I was 17 when this wreck happened, I was told I went into shock and apparently was fighting the nurses trying to restrain me with my elbow windmilling around from the open wound fracture, I couldn’t recognize my Mother when I would beg for her..I was told they had me restrained and the doctor was pleading with trauma hospitals to please take me bc they were not equipped to deal with my injuries and I was losing so much blood and blood pressure was dropping. It was October 31st, 2003. I was sick with an ear infection and my Dad came in on my ass about not having the dishes done (he wasn’t at the best place in his life at that time) so I got up and did the dishes with my ear throbbing and then told my Mama I was going to my Mawmaw’s bc I could t live with my Dad anymore. Got to Mawmaw’s and she asked me to just go ahead and stay in my room I had at her house but I insisted i return to my parents house so my mother wouldn’t worry bc I left angry at my Dad. She even sent my brother after me and we met each other driving on the dirt road to my Mawmaw’s and pulled over and talked and I told him just to follow me home. When I got to o dirt road I was goin a little too fast, but the road was so bumpy and corduroy like..lines of bumps lined up and my truck was just jumping these wave like repetitive bumps in the road and I eventually lost control going around the curve. I don’t remember much about anything other than hearing my brother claim through the shattered windows to get me out bc my truck dropped to the ground once it hit the two pine trees that were located right next to each other but it somehow pinned me between them, I guess my head also busted out my driver side window and my brother was able to crawl through that and drag me out of the truck just sitting in the dark woods. They were trying to get clearance to life flight me once LSU trauma unit hospital in Shreveport Louisiana agreed to take me since my hometown’s hospital couldn’t deal with my injuries, but it was so foggy that night, they couldn’t take off and had to make the decision to rush my by ambulance..I remember waking up for a slight moment while a surgeon was sewing my face back together..I looked him right in his eyes and I think it must’ve maybe surprise him because he had this look and just reached over and I guess turned up the juice bc I was out. I woke up several days later to learn that I wouldn’t be able to use my right arm, I wouldn’t be playing my senior year in basketball, I wouldn’t be graduating Valedictorian (bc of so May missed days and me staying in and out of the hospital), I discovered that I lost my natural beauty that I took completely for granted..I remember feeling how swollen my head felt, like a watermelon, and asking my Mawmaw for a mirror…she wouldn’t give me one so I asked my best friend Summer, who had slept on the floor and in the waiting room of the pediatric ICU unit (since I was 17) and she handed me a mirror with tears in her eyes and I remember when I saw myself I just threw the mirror across the room and screamed and sobbed no, no, no. I can handle my scars..they’re just a little sensitive to touch and they did keloid but I’ve come to terms I’ll never be able to to fix my face or attain the money to attempt to..sad thing is, I was scouted for modeling and have modeled for local photographers, Body Central, made it on local magazines..but that dream was no longer achievable. I had to face that was the least of my problems and trying to learn how to do everything left handed, with my jaws wired and thousands of stitches in my face, head, arms and back. I was very young and it seemed to have changed my personality, I forget things all the time so I know it affected my memory…and if I met you before or after the wreck within a few years I cannot remember people! I live with the states from strangers every day, not just from my facial and body scars, but because my right elbow looks deformed. I stay in pain, although I do my best not to complain about what happened but I’m to a point where I know I cannot keep pushing my body like this and the pain is causing me depression, lack of sleep, problems in my marriage..my husband gets mad because I hurt so bad bc he can’t do anything to help me. The pint is, I was young when this happened and had to keep fighting for my life after every surgery and seizure, after the osteomyelitis infection and then the e-colon infection in my pic line..had to stay in the hospital for months by myself at times. But I’m older and I’m realizing why didn’t someone in my family try to help me get help for my accident? I don’t want to live off disability but I remember a close family friend saying that I should’ve sued the county for the dirt road I wrecked on being I. Such bad shape, but I didn’t take action bc I was just a kid trying to deal. I managed to graduate college with an Associates in Applied Science and will be taking my state exam for Occupational Therapy soon, but I fear my body will not hold up long and I wish I could do something, I’m scared I let it go too long without trying to get some kind of injury compensation but I don’t know. Maybe everything will work out and I’ll be able to learn how to live with the pain and everything that comes with dealing with that daily, like even the weather makes my body ache and hurt I can tell when it’s coming. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

it isn't wise to see a doctor that is in your own insurance plan? I know from my own experience my attorney doctor quit taking insurance. To sum it up, if i am in the courtroom, I will say its my body and I have insurance. You have a doctor that doesn't take insurance. we all know its money game though right? lol
