Was a bit surprised to see John here. Love your review as always.

"I am John Law. This is Chasing Cars." has gone? Shocked 😳. Anyway, I like your Casio.

What’s John doing here? Did John get ‘chased’ out by Tom?

I subscribe on Wheels Australia because of John. Here in South Africa it's selling well and in top 5 on sales charts every month. One need not to wait for order as it's assembled here, even for export market.

My favourite of all the Corolla Cross reviews. Well done.

I love it. Test drove it and it was amazing. I feel it is great value so much so I cancelled my order of the Yaris Cross Urban Hybrid and ordered the Corolla Cross GXL hybrid.

I cancelled my RAV XSE order once Corolla Cross was released. Corolla Cross sizing is better for tight city parking spaces I need to deal with. I cannot afford a high quality EV so a quality hybrid engine 2.0 is a good option for now. Considering it’s going to cost $50K I do worry about it’s future value post 2030 when there are a lot more EVs on Australian roads. I agonise over whether to stick with my 2016 Mazda 3 and drive for another 10 years. It’s so hard to know what ICE used car market is going to look like in 10 years.

I just tested Atmos FWD and it was a nice drive, but it could use a lot more power. I hope it will get more potent hybrid config in next facelift. The drive-away price for Atmos is very much in "entry level luxury" territory, ~$52K (FWD) and $55K (AWD). Toyota has become entry-level luxury car brand. Toyota's waiting lists (particularly for hybrids) is the longest in the industry today, ~12-18 months. It appears that people are prepared to pay extra for Toyota cars.

Would love to know how visible the jungle green is on the road. We don't really want a car that camouflages to the road, do we? Also, what's the road clearance like? That's a basic AWD requirement. If it's comparing to the rav4, is the road clearance higher or lower?

Wait... what's John Law doing on the Wheels channel? Did he move on from Chasing Cars? 😮

Good review. Thanks. I am a retired single and the Corolla Cross would be plenty big enough for me. I just ordered a 2WD drive hybrid Atmos in jungle khaki. If I am paying >$52, 000 for a car I hope I am offered what I want. I have to wait at least several months for it. I don't need a sunroof. The cheap look must be Toyota's way to get you to pay more for the Atmos, presumably its better.

Went with US version CC SE AWD HYBRID. Fantastic for seniors!

This powertrain on a Mazda cx-30 would be my perfect car.

i think everyone should consider the added price to the Rav4 in 2023 when comparing to the corolla cross, the price increase for the Rav4 in 2023 is quite a lot with both the tech upgrade price and global price increase. The corolla cross will not be only 2 grand cheaper after these added costs to the Rav4

Good review John. For $45, 000 though, you get manual seats, no rear armrest and scratchy plastic bits. For $45k of hard earned, I expect much better that that, I really do. I don't see it as value for money to be honest. And that exhaust system hanging down looks dreadful 🤨.

After 9 weeks -batery had to be replaced.
I was told to drive more, just to charge the batery. It is not for seniors.

Miss you in Chasing Cars! Follower from India! :)

There's a presenter on Chasing Cars with the exact same name and looks almost identical to John. The amount of resemblance is uncanny!
