tried that with my beer once. Didn't work out well. But I did find a way to open the rest of the beers with my shoes. I walked down to the store and bought a bottle opener. But seriously, just push the cork in and drink the wine.

first two times he hadn't removed the plastic wrap around the top - then it magically vanished and the cork was partially extracted on the third try... you can even see if you freeze frame when he's pulling back before the third attempt that the cork is already partially extracted at that point before he hits the wall the third time. (0:08 seconds) while it clearly had NOT been extracted at the end of the second attempt.

this method does actually work because the pressure from the liquid in the bottle creates a 'shock wave' that can force the cork out of the bottle but it's also possible to break the bottle if you do it wrong or if there are weak spots in the bottle.

Watch carefully at 0:08 for when they cut to the Cork already partially pulled off. And then they use scissors to pull the cork off. What exactly is the shoe doing?

Play this at 0.25x playback speed you'll see that the cork was already halfway out before the man had pulled the shoe away from the wall all they did was cut the clip

I did this at hostel in Peru, Lime. It is hard work but it was worth it. Just remember to have a show with thick bottom ^^

Tried opening it with a pocket knife. Ended up with pieces of cork floating in the bottle after 30 minutes of struggling 😭😭

Not that easy. I don't think this trick will work with the synthetic corks either.

Protip: do this outside, and keep a spare bottle (not to mention a corkscrew) on hand cause you'll likely break the bottle trying out this "trick".
