INGREDIENTS:

1 ½ cups (240 g) whole golden flaxseeds
4 Tbsp (40 g) psyllium husk powder
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 ⅓ cups (320 ml) hot water

Which oven is recommended?
- I recommend using a convection oven or an oven with a fan, otherwise, the bread will be denser. Bake at 356 °F/180 °C for 50 min.

My bread turned out dense or didn’t rise. What is the reason?
Some of the most common mistakes are:

- Using cup measurements instead of the metric measurements I provide (and then measuring 1 1/2 cups of ground flaxseeds instead of whole). Always use metric measurements for perfect results.
- Using brown flaxseeds instead of golden.
- Using store-bought flaxseed meal (it often has less fat and won’t work). Also, it is not as finely ground.
- Using the same amount in tablespoons of whole psyllium husk instead of psyllium husk powder. If you only have whole psyllium husk, grind that into a powder and measure it after grinding!
- Using too much water.
- Not using hot water (let it simmer in a kettle, then pour it immediately over the dry ingredients).
- Kneading the bread for more than 30 seconds (this might result in a dense, flat loaf).
- Baking the bread with other dishes (like a casserole) which will affect the humidity in the oven.

I made this last night and I messed up by not grounding the linseed properly but seriously when I toasted it and put some butter on it I was blown away. I am going to try it again after I finish this one which is quite dense. I am going to make this each week. Thank you!

Chléb je opravdu chutný a jde snadno upéci pole receptu cca 50 minut na 180 stupňů. Pozor ale na dávkování! Lněná semínka ve větším množství zvýší počet návštěv wc. Klidně i 5x denně. V krajním případě vyvolají gastrické potíže. Je vhodné více pít vodu.

I baked this bread today and my goodness, it is IMPOSSIBLY good! I've tried multiple bread recipes (with no yeast or sourdough starter) and this one is the best by a LOT! I'll DEFINITELY make it again. Thank you so incredibly much for this recipe, I never imagined you could make bread as amazing as this with such ease!

Проще было-бы написать вместе с рецептом как выпекать, люди не задавали бы этот вопрос.В комментариях многие это спрашивают.

thank you so much for this recipe, my body responded really well to the bread, I can honestly report that I felt inflammation diminish from the first slice and it's filling too. I'm now baking this every two days. It's such a relief to be able to make a quick sandwich again.

Depending on the type and freshness of your flax and psyllium husk You will get varied results You must really mix the dry ingredients well and really knead it well

I made this today. Came out well but for those who doesn’t like the slimy texture of flax this is definitely not for you.. the taste is also quite potent which I didn’t like to be honest. On the upside it feels light (digests easily) great source of fiber and doesn’t cause bloating like wheat does.

Edit: this morning I had a great experience in the washroom. It was one of the best poops I’ve ever seen I didn’t need to even wipe more than once lol for this reason I will continue to eat this bread. I made 2 loaf’s one with powdered flax one with ground flax and I personally liked the ground flax compared to the powdered one.

I baked this bread today. It turned quite dense and undone. I used 40g of whole psyllium husk (powder like). I understand there is psyllium husk and psyllium husk powder in the market.
When I measured 1 tbsp of psyllium husk it only weighed 5 grams if so 3 tbsps will be 15 grams

Thank you thank you thank you! A beautiful and delicious bread, which is going to be my staple recipe now. It is so easy to make, no weird ingredients, no special tools or gadgets, no mixer or kneading, I just stirred mine with a spoon and then shaped it by hand. I was keen to try out the recipe straight away after watching the video, but didn't have baking powder, so I replaced the 2 tsp of baking powder with 1/2 tsp baking soda (=sodium bicarbonate) and 1 tsp white vinegar, which worked fine.
