For those wondering, it’s two parts sugar to one part water

If you add a pinch of baking soda to the candy it makes it shatter when you bite it so it’s easier on your teeth.

I tried this and it wasn’t the best taste but it was so fun to make and it was super satisfying to crunch the sugar layer! (I let it sit for about 24 minutes before using it to make the candy!)

Well technically that’s just candied fruit, because Tanghulu uses bing tang sugar, and you have to have an even amount of fruit on the stick. No hate intended.

What helped me get the extra surger off the pan was REALLY hot water and a HIGH pressure setting in your faucet. That got it off right away!
