4 Causes and Natural Cures for Eczema You Never Thought About

Eczema is referred to as DERMATITIS. Which is an inflammation of the dermis layer of the skin. In this video, we talk about the cause of that inflammation and how some of the traditional treatments actually lead to even more inflammation and a worsening of the condition.

Thank you for this. Doctors have described eczema being like asthma on the skin--often with the same triggers. I've had eczema my entire life, even getting it on my eyelids as a child. Of course like any kid in the 1960's, I had tons of milk and orange juice and sugar. 😞In recent years, it became dyshidrotic eczema. Literally my hands and feet covered in huge blisters making me look like I had 3rd degree burns. Then they'd burst and because the unbearable itching was UNDER the skin, I'd dig my skin raw until it bled. The itching would wake me up at night.

Becoming whole-food vegan has almost completely cured it, for the first time in my life. Eliminating dairy, and anything acidic like citrus and excessive caffeine helped also. But eliminating SUGAR was the game changer. I used to be a sugar junkie--especially fatty sugar (like ice cream). Even with being vegetarian for decades, I still ate tons of cheese and cream and processed sugar. I didn't go fully plant-based until the pandemic. I don't even need prescription creams any more, thank God. If I get a little patch, it's always if I've cheated with something with a lot of processed sugar, but now it heals quickly when I'm back to healthy eating. I eat very little wheat, but I've considered eliminating that also. I find naturally sweet whole foods like Medjool dates, or using monk fruit sugar in baking or drinks (I love Lakanto's Golden Sugar!) won't trigger me, so I try to make my own desserts at home.

One thing though, you neglected to mention there are ENVIRONMENTAL triggers also, like extreme heat (especially humid heat), certain perfumes or laundry detergents or something rubbing on one place like the strap of a sandal or a bra strap can result in a bout. Also STRESS is a big trigger too, just like asthma.
Thanks again.

I eat very clean and had horrible eczema. No medication would work. I live in Nv and the city water is very hard. Once I purchased land and got a private well, my eczema went away. I researched the states with the highest cases of eczema and Nv was 1 of the top 3 states. I believe there’s something in the water that is irritating the skin

The best thingI ever did for my eczema was using pure sheabutter soap, exfoliating, no extremely hot water, and moisturizing with good moisturizers.

Hopefully this helps someone w bad eczema like me. I had really bad eczema growing up but none of the creams worked, I just grew out of it but once a year in the winter, I get a very bad eczema on my hands, neck, and face. What I started doing was taking a handful of old fashion oats and running them under water and squeezing out the creamy liquid to apply directly to my eczema so it would stop stinging & flaking and I also used the soaked oats as a soft exfoliant before washing my face at least 2x a day. After all of that I take the inside of a fresh Aloe leaf and consistently rub on the affected areas when it gets dry and typically it goes away within 2 to 5 days. I keep the aloe in a ziploc bag & take it everywhere. The current breakout I’m having is only on my hands and it’s never been this bad before. For some reason my hand soap and dish soap have caused my eczema to flare up so I switched my dish soap to Mrs. Myers, and I made my own hand soap with pure Castile, sweet almond oil, and glycerin, and my hands are finally clearing up & aren’t flaking & stinging. I haven’t been able to find any aloe vera leaves unfortunately so I have been using cocoa butter which isn’t as fast. My diet also impacts my breakouts-dairy makes it WORSE🤦🏾‍♀️

I’ve done 7 day fasts and it brightens my skins and makes it looks so new and refreshed and moisturized. I recently have flared up with eczema more than I have ever experienced before and I’m planning a 3 day fast. Everyone is different and I’ll update this

Information was certainly informative. I’ve suffered with eczema since I was a child. Finally found the secret to what was causing it to be inflamed. Was mostly on my forehead, around the eyes and eyelids, neck, and mid back. Showed up in the form of painful dark patches.

My son had eczema on his legs and arms and occasionally on his face. A good friend of mine who practices holistic therapy, said he needed to cut out dairy and put him on a sulfur remedy (holistic sulfur pillules, I think it was like 6c potency or something) after testing him. So after a few weeks it definitely started clearing up and most of it is gone, not visible at all, only a little prickly to touch. So next step im gonna try removing gluten from his diet, that may be the last trigger

Dr Price, thank you so much. I've recently been listening to your vlogs and I find them very informative and motivating. I use to be a holistic wellness consultant and Iridologist for 15 years. But many things changed and I ended up switching careers. Since watching your channel I feel so motivated to go back to school for my ND. What you are doing is phenomenal, keep it up because you are changing lives. God bless you! ❤

P.S. I use to treat my daughter's eczema and clients with liquid chlorophyll. Use it topical during a breakout and drink internally mixed with a little water. It builds the blood and clears up the skin.

Absolutely on point. I came to the same conclusion through self-diagnosis, and now you confirmed it. I appreciate you King

This is extremely helpful, thank you! What doctors never say is that you can get steroid withdrawal from the prescriptions, even if they are topical creams. It was way worse than the actual eczema 😩

This popped up just when we got yet another medicine for my daughter's eczema... And I don't want to give her any of this crap but I don't want her to suffer either so this is right on time

This was extremely helpful, I been telling my mom that I think my eczema flares up every time I eat dairy so this was the confirmation I needed. Thank you! Could you possibly make a video on how to cure melasma? And what causes it?

I find that shea butter mixed with coconut oil helps

Yep sugar, dairy, and stress are the biggest triggers for me. Taking organic neem helped a lot!!! However I would definitely not recommend neem if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. I took the pills and applied neem oil topically to help with the itching from eczema on my legs.
