If you are doing this model in 2023 at 1:40 instead of doing what is shown in the video follow this instead if you have newer version of blender. to apply the vertex paint go to Shading Tab -> Add -> inputs -> Attributes. Then apply color from attributes to base color from Principled BSDF then go to Data tab which is above materials. Scroll down till you find color attributes. open it up and see what the name of it is. then go back to the Attributes node and where it say name put the name of the color attribute. It is case sensitive so it if says Attributes for the name put Attributes nor attributes. Hope this helped. Like if it did. Also cool banana.

This actually works; I put a banana in my blender then clicked the right button and in no time I had a banana smoothie. I clicked the left button to switch my blender off before disconnecting from the wall socket.
