Banana Cake Recipe | How To Make Banana Cake

Ingredients:

All purpose flour or maida - 1½cup (200g)
Banana - 2 or 3
Egg - 2
Melted Butter - ⅓cup (75g)
Brown sugar - ¼cup (50g)
Sugar - ½cup (100g)
Milk - ½cup (120ml)
Baking powder - 1tsp (4g)
Baking soda - 1tsp (5g)
Cinnamon powder - ¼tsp
Vanilla essence - 1tsp (5ml)
Salt - ¼tsp

Pan size - 24 x 10.5 x 7 cm

I've made about 10 banana cakes now, some dense at the bottom, some too dry the next day, some lack of taste. This recipe of yours is God sent, it achieve all the criteria i need, moist, flavorful and good shelf life! Its the third day now since I baked it, it somehow just taste better and better! We were the type of family that I worked as much overtime as I could and my wife raised the children and made the meals. I became disabled a few years ago and my wife works now but while I do a lot of the housework now she still cooks.
I’ve been learning, trying recipes here and there but for some reason a lot of them don’t turn out as expected.
I know that people protect their recipes tightly and I suspect many recipes are missing “secret” ingredients and/or processes.
Anyway, I just got done making this recipe and tasting the results.
I may never become the cook of the household but I have a feeling that when she gets home tonight and tries this with coffee after dinner that I might at least become the desert maker.

one of the best I made in 30 years. very moist. added 1 peeled and cubed apple. thank you for posting.
made double portion and it was fully done in 30 minutes ( in the oven), this is note to younger cooks.

I made the banana cake, bigger size with increased ingredients. Turned out very moist . One of the best banana cake I tasted.

The comments were on point. This is the best banana bread I have made. So fluffy and soft. Made some modifications. Instead of 1/2 cup sugar, I added 1/4th and used 1 cup all purpose flour and 1/2 cup whole wheat. Thank you for this recipe!

This is my second time using your recipe after that fabulous marble cake recipe. I used less sugar (30 g of brown sugar and 80 g of white sugar), and it didn't affect the texture of the cake at all. It rose as it should, and the crust on top of it was heaven. Definitely recommended.

I JUST MADE IT. DO RECOMMEND.
IT IS THE MOST DELICIOUS BANANA CAKE EVER. i have tried so many recipes and this is the best one so far. Here's a list of recommended changes.( I made these and it made it sooo much better)
1. Instead of milk, use buttermilk ( add like 1 tsp vinegar or lemon juice to the milk. Let it sit for 5 mins, add that)
2. Add loads of dry fruits. I'm talking about 0.5 to 1 cup of them. I added walnut and almonds. Use what u like.
3.Increase the cinnamon according to ur taste. I added double and there is still potential for more.
4. I also replaced both sugars with shakkar to make it healthier and tastier.
5. It says 2 or 3 bananas. I added like 4.
6. Instead of totally mashing the banana, make it so it has chunks left, it tastes better.(trust me on this one)
7. I replaced half the amount of butter with olive oil. Made it so much more moist.

Oh my god . I just made this bread and it tasted divine. I added walnuts, almonds and some dark chocolate chunks. I suggest everyone one to add this and specially the chocolate chunks . They made the bread even better.

I just used this recipe and it is perfect! I just added crushed wallnuts before transfering to the mould and sprinkle some on top. And you really have to bake it for 50 mins at least to achieve the perfect moisture. Thank you for this 🙏🏼

Tried the recipe last night and it was perfect! Soft and moist. I added 2/3 cup of roasted chopped walnuts. This is the best banana cake recipe I’ve had. Thank you for sharing.

just brought out of oven my one banana loaf added raisins n almond bits. the color is same as your recipe. made slight reduction in measurements for a single banana. n it worked. yr recipe is kept on record for future. thanks.

Just made this recipe with only 1/4 cup of brown sugar. No need for the white sugar. The best banana bread/cake ever! So moist and delicious. Amazing texture and easy to make. Thank you for sharing. This will be the ONLY banana cake Ill make.😋😋😋😋😋😋😋. I add walnuts to the dry ingredients…the ultimate best.👍👍👍👍THANKS AGAIN

I made this today. It turned out perfect. Good level of sweetness. Neither too much nor too little.The balance of taste between banana, walnut and cinnamon is good. The cake turned out to be dark brown on the outside and super moist on the inside. I use maple syrup instead of sugar
