Coding BMW E46 Key Replacement (Pairing Procedure)

How to code a replacement key for all models of the BMW E46 3 Series. To code more than one key carry out the steps after removing the key from the ignition on each key within 30 seconds of the previous key.

my battery went in my spare key and I replaced it, I only needed to turn the key to the first position once, but then my main key would not work, you have program the first key and immediately program the second without putting it in the ignition for them both to work. thanks your video is the right length, short and to the point,

Just replaced the rechargeable battery in my 2003 e46 coupe diamond key. Only had the 1 key. 1 click to pos1 and out, then the buttons, worked totally fine. Well happy I can actually use it again now
