Thanks alot RV. Yan lagi merienda nila after school. Magbike si bunso to buy kababayan sa nearby bakery for this staple. They are now both family men with own children. . Hahaha! So, ako nlang kakain nito. So sweet na balikan ang nkaraan with your Kabayan. Love you RV from your 73 yr old subscriber lola from Laguna. 🥰

That was my father’s favorite. I was reminded of him always craving for that bread and asked us to buy for him. Just sad, now that I can make it myself coz there’s a kind hearted chef who is sharing us his knowledge for free, he is gone. Thank you chef. Godbless you more

Since the ingredients are very simple and readily available in the pantry, I immediately made this Kababayan recipe which yielded only 18pcs. Maybe it's because my muffin cups are bigger. Also added some corn kernels in the other cups and....walah!! I had Kenny Roger's corn muffins! Thank you again for this recipe Chef RV. Bless you always...

Kababayan is one of my favorite miryenda back in elemdays and highschool days ( 80's).... I still see and bought it sometimes, but its not the same as they made em way back in 80's... Ube bars, caramel bars are also my favorite... I dont know why, but food is not as delicious as they made em way back in 80"s...😥😥😥... Hope chefs could revive the original recipes and procedures of our grandmas and grandpas cooking....
