So helpful. I've only just started knitting Fair Isle and Continental style so hadn't even heard of steeking until a couple of weeks ago. This video makes it look straightforward but I shall be taking great care when I give it a go!!

I'd imagine the stage where you're picking up stitches would work excellently with a Tunisian crochet hook and then transferring onto a knitting needle

A double crochet in UK is called a single crochet in the US. (US beginner crocheters, take note.) There are two different stitches you're doing there, also.

You were alternating between double and single crochet so it’s a little confusing

Can you steek to create a dart in a garment? ie not along a straight vertical row of stitching?
