i am Severely stressed out and trying to keep myself positive- in the mean time i threw together a bit of a stress relief/vent pmv with a big comfort character of mine, Moonflower

shes a minor character but god i love her and her complicated story- she deserved a lot better and id love to see her relationship with her family and groomer explored more

So many people forget that Moonflower was basically groomed the same way Spottedleaf was minus the DF stuff. Thankfully Dappletail was actually an adult when he pursued her though it was still creepy considering she was a very new warrior. It's really unsettling that seemingly the Erins accidentally write this stuff in. But anyway, this amazing. I love how it explores her emotions around it all. I wish Moonflower could get a super edition, ngl

Moonflower having to watch her son in law (Thistleclaw) groom a child just like she had been groomed is so heartbreaking

The fact she finally realizes he never truly loved her, she went out of her way to humiliate her sibling for him to like her, and that she wasted her feelings and her life living up to his standards. Heartbreaking.

Its like Moonflower's family has some kind of curse. Moonflower was gr00med and had to watch her own kits mourn her loss while her mate couldn't care one bit and start flirting with an apprentice. Goosefeather heard the voices of Starclan telling him what the future awaits, and no one believed him and thought of him as a mouse brain. Everyone hated him, and his sister died. Snowfur died at a young age and had to watch as her mate gr00med a literal kit and apprentice until she decided to give up on her dreams so she could get away from him. Whitestorm had to watch his mother die as a kit and his father was awful. Bluestar was betrayed, had to watch her mom die, had to watch her sister die, had to watch her kit die, had to send the other 2 to Riverclan never knowing who their real mother was, and more I believe. Mosskit died of hypothermia which is a horrible death. And there are even more, but I think you get the message.

i like the detail at 1:00 where stormtail's tail is reaching out but then it's like he yanked it away, even though moonflower is reaching out for him

Omg I love how moonflower realizes her mistake!! If anything I wish Moonflower and Sunstar got together :( I also like the detail of stormtail's tail moving away from Moon

Wow the art on this is awesome!!! Moonflower is a pretty tragic character imo, what with Stormtail going after her when she was young and then dropping her for another young cat when she grew older. Like that sucks honestly! And then she didnt even get to see her kids into adulthood!

OH MY, THIS IS JUST WONDERFUL. I love this pmv so much and how it's presented. Watching this made me realize how Moonflower was pretty much prayed on by a way older tom who after getting bored of her moved on to another way too young for him she-cat and how after her death, her daughter also ended up in a relationship with a giant piece of shit. At leas Oakheart was good to Bluestar

I love it when someone draws more attention to certain background characters and displays how interesting/ heartbreaking their stories really were, not to mention how amazing your artstyle is and how it goes along so well with the song. This pmv is just really great, keep up the good work.

This is amazing! The art is like eye candy and Moonflower’s design is beautiful! When I first read Bluestar’s Prophecy (my book of it is almost split in half from aging so i havent touched it for years) I didn’t really realize how terrible Stormtail was, and I honestly thought he was a good father, and now it’s just obvious he was horrible and disgusting, being in love with Moonflower when she was younger then leaving her for Dappletail not long after Bluestar and Snowfur were born, not ever being there for Bluestar and Snowfur, and not even showing much emotion when Moonflower was killed. Honestly, Moonflower would have been so much better off with Sunstar. Sunstar was so SO much better than Stormtail.

I... actually never thought about what Stormtail's age was? Was he actually way older than Moonflower, to where he was a warrior while Moon was a kit?! I'm sure it's stated in Goosefeather's Curse, but it's been a while since I've read his novella lol

The shiver that went down my spine when I saw stormtail(90% sure that’s his name) blush at moonkit. I’ve never read goodefeather’s super edition so I had NO idea about that.

The fact I can relate to Moonflower being with someone you think cares for you but little do you know its only momentarily and he leaves you once you get too old for someone younger and "prettier"

I haven't read Goosefeather's Curse, neither have I read many of the books (since I just like Warrior Cat animations), but from the implications of the video and from the comment section, the visuals in this PMV in conjunction with the storyline is just perfect, especially the part at 1:22. Where Snowfur is hugging Moonflower, you can see that she's much smaller than Snowfur, implying that she was a young mother when she died, while her daughter grew to be an adult, I don't know if that was the intention or is in the original storyline within the books, but it's a very chilling detail to me that made me tear up

Goosefeather always knew what Stormtail was doing but Moonflower wouldn't listen to him, then to watch the cycle almost repeat itself with Spottedpaw and Thistleclaw is so sad, I'm happy Spottedleaf managed to get away where Moonflower didn't

Moonflower is such an underrated character, like- I didn't know about any of this, how she was groomed and preyed on. like- I love you /plat for making pmvs based on this stuff, because it's sad how even in fictional stories, we can never escape some things

Oh my god this single-handedly made me love moonflower I never put too much thought into her character and I even kind of disliked her for how she treated Goosefeather, but this put her in a different light and now I feel so bad for her. This is an amazing animatic, it's so heartbreaking.
