ive had this idea since last year and finally had the motivation to finish it! i feel like ferncloud in general is an underated character but everyone forgets her an' ashfur are siblings:( with how much shes lost in her life i think she'd feel extremely conflicted when it came to him and his actions

Finally some Ferncloud and Ashfur content, I always feel like the siblings/family interaction with villain characters (and a lot important characters as well) are overly ignored, even they're supposed to be a huge part of the character development 😭😭😭

Ferncloud is literally one of the best characters in the warrior series. She lost so much and still kept on going. She stayed in the nursery to help other mothers and kits (which I believe is VERY IMPORTANT)
I hate that she got killed off because of the fandom being hateful and misogynistic (but what's new?)

Casually Ferncloud is always made fun of like "bAbYmAkEr" when you realize even though it wasn't told, she had pretty much lost half of her family and still stayed positive. Remember that she lost most of her kits, her own brother, her father, AND mother, and even some friends, and remained sane. I cannot make it even HALFWAY through that, and yet they don't recognize her enough. Ferncloud definitely suffered a lot, and I feel horrible for her.

I always felt a bit sad that ferncloud never got to confront her brother in the broken code (from what I remember) it felt like such a waste when starclan came to help and there was no mention of her, I wish she got that interaction of her maybe trying to change ashfurs thought process but ends up dying for good I love ferncloud so much but I feel like now that they’ve wasted every opportunity in the last series it’s unlikely we’ll ever hear from her again, this video is beautiful and I love the designs so much!

Ferncloud has been a fav of mine since I was a little kid. I remember the fandom back then always just labeled her as a kit producer and nothing more, but all of the loss she had to go through and yet still kept going is honestly inspirational (even if unintentional).

Ahh the colors and expressions are really good!! Ferncloud is a really good character when you look at how sad her story is. Kinda wish they explored how she felt about Ashfur.

this is so freaking good. i always wanted to see ferncloud’s reactions to ashfur’s death, behavior, ext. because i think that their setup in the original series made them seem close and interesting. idk they had so much potential as a sibling pair and were never explored, so this is sick!! (also the i love you…!, so? is so good)

I luv these two siblings so much because they're one of the few twins in the Warriors series! And polar opposites to boot! I imagine Ashfur being jealous of Ferncloud because she's in a healthy relationship (aside from age difference but we're not getting into that) and the one cat he loved rejected him. Just a little headcannon.

I love this! One of my biggest pet peeves was that the relationship between fern and ash was basically like- forgotten? They were super close in series 1, but we legit never saw any relationship they had after that. Thornclaw was shown to be upset by ash’s death, but Fern?? Hello?? Like cmon writers.

YESSS! I have always felt bad for ferncloud and also how BARELY ANYONE in the books felt bad or even thought about if she might. She honestly is my favourite because of this!

I always noticed how keen AshFur was to helping FernCloud’s kits when he would take LionPaw out for training he would give them tips like any mentor would, and he seemed to genuinely care about her family aswell

This is beautiful! I love the lighting and the designs of the characters, especially Fern and Ash (I really like the hearts on their faces). The pacing is also so so nicely done. Ah! I love it!

I really wish ash’fur spent more time with fern’cloud for example like when squirrel’flight broke his heart I was he seeked for comfort from fern’cloud or asked for advice from fern’cloud about what to expect when you fall in love I really wish they had more bond

I have a vague memory of this scene think it was Eclipse. Icekit(cloud) and Foxkit(leap) were still in the nursery with Ferncloud, and an attack from Windclan was imminent.
I remember Ashfur going up to Ferncloud to comfort her, assuring her that he'd fight his hardest to defend her and her kits, or something along those lines (anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong).
My point is, I wish there were more scenes like that between the two, even involving Ferncloud's family (Her mate, Dustpelt, was Ashfur's mentor and in turn, Ashfur became the mentor of her son, Birchfall, so there are definitely interactions that could be included).
It frustrates me sometimes how the writing of Warriors tends to ignore extended family relationships in favour of Clan v.s. Clan drama and forbidden love relationships. I enjoy the books for what they are, but beautiful media like this video really highlight the wasted potential throughout the series.

Ferncloud has to be on of the BEST characters but has the worst life. I'm so happy to see content on her but it's so upsetting that she got killed from hateful comments. She's my top 1 fav character in the entire series.
