Hecaerge finds herself lost in a memory.

When a cat recieves a rot from a warden other than the white warden, they must go into exile, and live under the scorched earth for a hundred days, and prove themselves to the true warden of light.

So when Hecaerge's friend, Coriander, falls ill with blue rot, she blames herself. Ephesus, the leader of the temple, tells Hecaerge this is how it has always been, and how it will always be.

Later, during Hecaerge's initiation as a full member of the temple, there is an eclipse that blocks out the sun. The other members run, but Ephesus, so sure that this is an omen from the warden himself, blames Hecaerge and decides she must be rid of her.

I love the atmosphere of this pmv. The way the colours turn from warm to cold after the eclipse, the way emotion is displayed so well with the expressions and body language- really can't wait to see how the story progresses, especially for Hecaerge.
