In the first of 6 tutorials featuring the new features of Adobe Photoshop CC 2015, we're going to outline a very useful feature called Artboards. Artboards allow you to create multiple canvases in the same photoshop document, which is particularly useful for responsive web design, banner design, and much more.

Man, this is so great. It's hard to believe Photoshop didn't always have this feature.

Thank you for this useful lesson . but this design is simple you can just resize it manually, what if the design was more complicated, is there any way to make photoshop resize it automatically . thank you very much.

Hello i have a question, Lets say I have a normal document with some work already on it with layers, modifers, ect and I use the artboard tool and make another artboard on the side. Now I want to bring some previous work on put it on the new artboard. Now how do i do this with bringing along the layers and not having it as a smart layer?

Client ask me for this..."We wanted to update our catalogue.
We need only the templates in psd format with editable layers + icons and we wiill put the pictures. You only make the templates and the pictograms in psd format with layers and we will put the items.
Could you work with it?" I don't know how to do this in photoshop...there are so many products in the catalogue which will not fit in one or 2 artboards...If anyone can help me please reply me.

Great explanation! I'm trying to change my canvas size. How do I do that? It's saving the new dimensions in the canvas size dialogue box but I see no difference on the art board.

You can also right click on the background around the artboard to change the colour of the background. I still prefer black.

I have an issue where my artboards are created with a transparent background? Have you come across this, do you have any idea. There doesn't seem to be a way to give it a colour of white from the moment it's created? Thanks for any help.
