To anyone thinking about buying Dell Inspiron laptops, please reconsider your decision. It has the worst thermals even for minimal use. I replaced dell inspiron for acer swift 3 as it was struggling to run chrome with just 5 tabs open.

Asus have launched it's new Vivobook series (K15) in India. It comes with OLED display within the price point of under 70k. I am using it's Ryzen 5 variant (K513 model, price 60k in India). I think you should review this model as I'm very impressed with its performance and specially the display is best at this price range.

perfectly made list not many reviewers speak on peak brightness level. Adding build quality whether its plastic or metal. How durable hinges are would have helped more in choosing best. Since most budget laptops have broken hinges problem.

I have positive experience with a Dell 1525 Inspiron that I owned during the Vista years. It was a fairly reliable workhorse. However my negative experiences with a HP Compaq Presario which boots and crashes immediately( and has no warranty or repair possible) and which I purchased for around USD 700, and a Toshiba Satellite L645 which exhibits the same boot and crash behaviour, has led me to firmly boycott the upper echelons of these brands and instead rely on budget ranges of these and newer players like Avita, Infinix, even Chuwi and others. The combined cost of these budget laptops is less than the total cost of a state of the art Compaq or Toshiba. As long as my work needs commensurate with budget configurations Can anyone recommend $200 to $400 range budget laptops?

I have a budget of below 1 lakh. I am a student in a 10th standard . This will be my first laptop and I am not a apple user this will be my first apple product if I buy so . I want to use it for basic things like attending online lectures, creating presentations, doing homework, taking out notes, maybe also will use for entertainment purposes like watching yt and movies or maybe doing a video call with family and friend . I do want a good display as well as good camera quality .Do you think I should buy it or not . Please do comment !

Your suggested laptops are best but the head line don't justifies according to me.
Budget laptop means something around 30000-35000 and below and yours suggested laptops are over 45-50k i guess.
But all are good options for basic and daily use.

Good list.. for the normal middle class Indian, even 50k is a huge amount.. for the masses, a cheaper and faster alternative could be the new Chromebooks which are in the range of 18k to 36k.. does the job, easy on the pocket.. high time laptop manufacturers realised that most people don't need machines for high end graphics or coding etc.. but for surfing, videos, movies, documents etc.. for that why should one pay such prices.. ?
