Measurements
1. 2 cup of basmati rice
2. Wash rice at least 3 times.
3. Add 1 and 1/2 cup of water.
4. Soak rice for 10 to 30 minutes.
5. Cook rice in low heat for 15 to 20 minutes covering by leads.

First clean the rice till the starch is no more. Try it till the water is clear then for 1 cup of rice add 2 cups water. I add butter and olive oil I use chicken or beef bullion optional seasoning salt pepper I use lemon pepper. Then let it boil. Then right away cover it and put it low heat I say about 15 minutes. When you see the water gone then let it sit 11 minutes or so then whala God Jesus bless you everyone!

After years of alternatively burning and undercooking rice (including in an actual rice cooker), I finally said "fuck it" and started cooking rice the same way I do pasta. Add more water than you think you'll need, try a little for doneness when you start suspecting it might be done, drain off the water, and eat.

Bonus, a significant percentage of the arsenic in the rice leeches out into the water that you later throw away.
